We had the fried fish. The entire thing. One of us with a little salad and the other with patacones( fried smashed plantain). Excellent. They close earlyish 6pm. It’s a nice walk down to this end of the beach.
Also, the sangria was pretty good.

We've just spent half a day at El Farallon beach where Pipa's Beach Restaurant is located. We came here twice in the past few days. Very nice and cozy place right on the beach. If you come by car and eat at the restaurant you don't need to pay for parking, otherwise it's $5. If you want to rent a Cabaña (beach hut) it's $30 for the whole day and you are allowed to bring 1 cooler with your own drinks, but not food, or you can choose a small table with umbrella, arm chair and a lounge chair for $20/whole day.
We were here during the week Tuesday/Wednesday and it was never too noisy or crowded, busy but not too crazy. The food is amazing especially Pescado Frito (fried fish) and Pulpo a la vinagreta (octopus in wine vinegrette). Also, we highly recommend to try red sangria, very refreshing and delicious!
The beach is clean and the sand is a mix of white and black which is a common thing in Panama when it comes to beaches.
Overall an amazing experience! Cheche - one of the co-owners was super helpful and spoke amazing English. It was nice to chat with him, very friendly and welcoming guy.

Pipa's has been there on the beach at Farallon since at least 1967, when I served as a Peace Corps volunteer. A new owner has added lots of upgrades -- more bohios and tables, showers if you swim before or after your meal, better parking. Prices are corresponding higher. Fresh fish pulled out of the ocean that morning, cold beer, rum and coke -- and now a full drinks menu. Worth going just for the atmosphere. Very busy on weekends -- parking often full by mid-Saturday morning.

Amazing visit. Was very quiet on a Wednesday for lunch.
Easy parking, keep driving after the road ends and there is a gate you pass through and a huge parking lot. I'm guessing it gets crazy busy during the weekends.

Great for kids, great food and mixed drinks for adults. I highly recommend.
Posting photos of the menu since I would have loved that.

Great place to spend the day. Very friendly and helpful staff. Food is good, the showers and bathrooms are great to have access to. Live music most of the day. Headed back as soon as I can.

Large parking lot, super long beach, and great chicken sandwiches. What more could you ask for?

Nice place on beach, a bit upscale to the normal, good food , good service, which is not usual for panama. A bit pricey for a domestic beer($3)

The best restaurant in Farallón! Delicious food, excellent service, beautiful beach, parking lots, showers, wifi... If you rent a "rancho" for a full day you can bring your own drinks and snacks. It's always full on weekend, order your food in advance. Fried fish is highly recommended! Open from 9AM to 6PM.

This was the most awesome restaurant we have eaten at in all of Panama. Our hotel RUi’s food is boring and this restaurant is 1/2mile by foot (if the tide is out) or 10 via taxis but so worth it. The house ceviche and seafood empanadas (& the French freies rock) are some of the best we have eaten and should be paired with local Cerveza…mouth wateringly good…. I wish they were open for dinner but I am going back before I leave Panama. The cutest dogs in Panama are here at this restaurants!

This restaurant is amazing! The prices are average for on the beach which is a little on the pricey side but that is to be expected. The fish was fresh and cooked to perfection! If you are on the beach this is a good place to stop in and take in the ocean as you eat! I will be sure to return when I am in Panama!

Pipas beach is a family friendly restaurant located beach-side that is also widely known to the backpacking community; the owners of the place allows long term backpackers to post up their vans and tents in the premises after restaurant hours, with full access to the visitors' showers to rinse off the sand.

I lunched here (food was decent) and set up my tent in the sand; watching the dusk and dawn explode in the horizon was something I will always cherish when thinking of my time in Panama. I sincerely hope that the place continues to serve as a refuge for travelers, so that one day I may return!

Great setting on the beach. Ceviche and fish fingers were very fresh and tasty. Kids enjoyed the setting and children's game corner.

I coordinated a dinner at Pipa's for a group of 60 and could not have been more pleased. The owner and staff could not have provided a better experience. We were served an assortment of appetizers, a choice of shrimp, beef or chicken and a delightful assortment of Panamanian deserts. It was all delicious, the service was quick and the staff very helpful ! In addition to outstanding food and service, the owner had arranged entertainment that was charming. We had music, fire jugglers and magicians who provided entertainment thought the evening. I would highly recommend this spot as a must visit when in the area. I am looking forward to my next visit.
