My husband and our children visited this resort for Christmas 2023, and we enjoyed the resort. We found it was well suited for families. We enjoyed the food, not a wide selection but a good variation. The entertainment was great and timed appropriately for the children to enjoy. The (restaurant) weren't our favorite. The food wasn't great. The bars and lounge are limited hours, meaning you couldn't get a coffee (other than instant) before 10 am, and after 10 pm, all bars are closed. We enjoyed the service provided, and the daily room cleaning was great. They had a children club and a teen club that were both well managed and maintained. We found the pools to be well taken care of, not dirty, very clean again, limited hours open 9am close 6pm .... found that could be a challenge at some points. There was a strict policy about smoking on the property with a designated area. The beach was stunning, very clean, well monitored with a life gaurd on duty daily from 9am - 6pm. If you're looking for all around family friendly, low-key resort. This one is perfect.

Ps. This is a bad review, just an informed review!
Enjoy your trip !!!

We have travelled to multiple all-inclusive resorts and this is the best we have stayed at. We stayed 1 week in the beginning of February 2024.
The food at the buffet was excellent. The lunchs and suppers were never the same. The kitchen staff and servers wore masks and gloves. The water is filtered. As for the black birds comment mentionned in some reviews, yes there are a few where the tables are (not in the kitchen area), just don't leave your food alone on the table and the staff is really good at chasing them away.
As for the room, it was renovated and very cleaned. The beds were very comfortable, the shower always had warm water and pressure, the towels were changed every day, there was a safety lock.
As for the beach, as long as you are aware that it is the Pacific coast, it is amazing. You can walk both side of the beach for kilometers, no rocks, beautiful volcanic black sand mixed with brown sand, the sunrises were beautiful. There are also multiple pools (adults and children) with MANY lifeguards on duty (beach, pools, water slides) who take their job very seriously.
The staff overall was very professional and respectful, we were very impressed.
We booked 2 excursions with Nexus Tours, Anton Valley and Panama City + Panama Canal, we would recommend. We booked one of the excursions over the weekend as the resort is a little more crowded over the weekends (locals come for a weekend stay), but the amount of people was still reasonable and it was very quiet the rest of the week. It was mostly families with children and grandparents.
The only improvement that we would suggest would be to add shaded areas at the beach and around the pools, more umbrellas and chairs on the beach and more umbrellas around the pools. It was sometime hard to find shade.
Overall, we would 100% recommend. The airport is 10 minutes from the resort.

My wife and I stayed here along with my mother, siblings and their partners for four nights in April of 2023. Overall, we greatly enjoyed our stay; I would not at all be averse to going back. The food was plentiful, tasty and had a good variety. The beach, ocean water and pools were wonderful. The staff was extremely friendly. And though the coffee in the buffet was typically mediocre for a resort, the espresso bar in the lobby bar was excellent. A special thanks to Gabriel who runs the lobby bar for his great barista skills, as well as the lifeguard José who took time to talk with me in my passable Spanish. We also enjoyed the variety of evening entertainment, including a karaoke night and a wonderful singer.

It is showing its age, however, and could use an update. Some things could have been better. A greater variety of towels in the rooms (small ones for hands and face) would have been nice. As a musician, I was disappointed that the piano in the lobby wasn't available to be played. And although we enjoyed playing on it, the pool table in the Teen Room should be replaced.

Overall, we enjoyed our time at Bijao and are glad to have stayed there.

My daughter and I stayed here for 1 week. At first we didn't really like it, long wait for check-in and the room was not that great. Our air conditioner wasnt working properly and they forgot to put a few things in our room (hand towels, wash cloths and blow dryer) The resort is quite far from any shopping or towns. However, we quickly started to really like the place. The food is amazing, the pools are great but what really stands out for me is the staff! I quickly fell in love with everyone I had encountered. We purchased an excursion for Izrabell, she is amazing, very helpful and HONEST ! Accidently gave her an extra $50, the next day she found me and apologized for not noticing. We went to Anton Valley, the driver was great and the excursion experience is a 5 ☆
I would definitely return to this resort.

We had a great time here. It's not close to anything but we wanted to be near the beach which was 1 to 2 mins away. The airport is over 2 hrs away so that was stressful especially with the constructing traffic. They didn't have any activities like yoga or any games. The swim up bar was my favorite. Drinks were great! Food was okay not terrible. Not a lot of variety mostly Spanish dishes. The spa was expensive but worth it. Overall great time. You have to go with someone you truly love lol there's no escape! Lol

Fantastic location, but a long walk from Pan-American Highway if you took a bus from Panama City. Rooms were ok, and service was decent. For the New Years celebration there was no champagne flutes, just the plastic blue glasses.

My stay at this resort was one of the best ever. The rooms were very clean and all the amenities were working and available. The location is great, secluded with lots of greenery and exotic birds, plus an unobstructed view of the ocean. The entertainment staff here are great - enthusiastic, friendly, and know how to treat guests. The best part of all was the food. The quality of the food here was off the chart. I have never been to an all inclusive resort with such great food quality. For the record, I was here in 2014!

Sheraton Bijao Beach Resort was a nice welcome to Panama. The facilities and grounds were cleaned constantly by a courteous staff and all services were without reproach. Spanish is the language with signing and a few words helping communication. Everybody was friendly and nice and all staff and guests wore masks for protection. In Panama every person we saw walking in streets on the 3 excursions we took wore masks, everyone. Great, right?
The white sand beach at the hotel was beautiful. We enjoyed everything.

We stayed for 1 week and loved our stay. The hotel is the perfect size and the food was excellent. Buffets are usually bland and limiting but to our surprise, this one was excellent and so many choices each day which were all great. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Beach was clean and garbage free. I would definitely recommend this resort and will be coming back in the future.

We loved it. Room was outdated but the beds, sheets and pillows are very comfortable. AC very strong so we had to turn it off. Lovely view!

Delicious food and buffet. Our daughter loved the hotel and grounds as well.
Staff really friendly.
Piano bar at night enthralled us.
Nice beach! We had some nice walks.
Kids club is great but the inside smells like mold. Fitness center is superb.

We had a day pass to the Decameron resort nearby but we much preferred the Sheraton.

The resort was nice. You get what you pay for. Pool and beach area had plenty of places to sit. I upgraded to a suite and that is the main reason I am giving it 5 stars. I am not sure I would have enjoyed it the same without the beach view and access to the Sheraton Club. thank you Mr. Angel. director of hotel operations excellent service

Cheraton Bijao beach resorts panama city panama is an excellent resort. Workers are very friendly, kind and helpful. The rooms are spacious, very clean. The rooms are cleaned every day. A lot of food. I am here with my husband and we are enjoying our stay at the resort. I recommend all people who come to Panama, to reserve a room at Cheraton Bijao beach resorts. It is an excellent resort. We like the very clean beach and the pools. We would like to come back to Cheraton Bijao beach resorts again and again.

Beautiful property. Nice rooms. Lots of pools, slide for kids. Lifeguards at pools and beach. Didn't like that pool open 9-6pm only. Many buffet food choices and unlimited drinks. Some food amazing! Evening dance bar was horrible with music too loud and terrible d.j., but otherwise a great destination vacation. Service was great.

Gorgeous Hotel, right next to the beach. All inclusive, offers three buffets a day. The rooms are excellent, I've staid twice and both rooms have been amazing. Great service as well, they offer two a la carte restaurants one is Japanese food and the other is Arab (apart from the buffet). Great experience.

I loved this resort!!! I have traveled a far bit, this was by far my favorite place to go. I even ended up bringing some Panama home with me. The amazing lifeguard helped me rescue a beautiful dog from the beach. We have had her almost 6 months and couldn’t be happier.

We were a family group of nine. The quality of the room, service and food was outstanding. The entire property was well maintained and very clean. The buffet and specialty restaurants had great variety everyday and the food was very fresh. Lots of healthy and vegetarian choices too.

I think they had a total of seven pools, and only a few steps from the beach. There was a BBQ at the pool area that served hamburgers and hotdogs.

Interesting: This is not a typical resort. 99% of the guests were Panamanian, Columbian or Brazilian. Our group of nine and three other couples were the only ones in the entire resort that spoke English as our first language. No real problem because staff in the key points spoke enough English to answer any question.

Free Wifi worked great, even down at the beach. It came in very handy because I needed to use Google Translate often :-)

Disappointments: Well only two things bothered me. First it was a very loud resort, I mean very loud. The stage shows and pool MC were insanely loud. But the stage shows shut down at 10:30PM so sleeping was not a problem.
Surprisingly there is no food of any type available between 5PM and 7PM. But coffee, tea and soft drinks/juices were available 24/7
The spa and add-on excursions and activities were way over priced in my opinion.

I loved the staff and a couple of people that were extraordinary were the doorman Ali and a waitress Lillian. I'm sure I spent too much time talking to Ali. He helped me with a couple of family matters (like finding my wife's bathing suit that the wind blew it off our balcony) and he helped me with my spanish. I always looked forward to our talks, he was very helpful and had a sense of humour.
Lillian didn't speak much English but she always brought my morning coffee with a big smile. Lillian was amused at my attempt to speak Spanish. She seemed to work three times faster than anyone else in the main restaurant.

All in all a great resort and I would recommend it. Certainly up to the standards you would expect from a Sheraton. They are really set up for families with small children or handicapped guests too.

Had a great time here. This all inclusive resort has three or four different place to eat, four or five pools, and a bar every hundred feet (not really but feels like it). Loved hanging out on the beach in lawn chairs under thatched umbrellas.
