Very peaceful and serene temple . It is located between Kathmandu and Hetauda highway . You don't have to walk much to reach this place as it can be easily accessible by bike and car . But you have to climb some stares up and down to reach the inside of the temple . Try not to visit there during 11:30am to 1 pm as the temple is closed during those hours of time . This temple has so much energy that you will be thrilled, mindful and energetic.

Dakshinkali Temple has lots of stairs. Saturday is the busiest day and expect to stay in queue for about an hour before getting to enter the main temple. There are 2 entrances and i recommend the second entrance because it has less queuing area and you get to the temple a bit quicker. You have to turn right instead of taking the first straight road and go downhill to get to this entrance.
People bring animals for sacrifice, so be prepared to see such sights.

One of the holiest place for Hindus, dedicated to goddess Kali known as Dakshinkali. It is believed that the goddess Dakshinkali fulfills everyone's wishes. People sacrifice goats (Boka), Hen (Bhale) and Duck (Hass). There is normally a huge line (queue) during public holidays, Saturday and special days. It is located in the lap of nature. It is surrounded by big and small trees and mountains. There are many shops to buy Pooja Thali (Pooja Samagri) from. Also many shops offer delicious foods. Here are many picnic spots/shades to enjoy a picnic. Advance bookings of picnic spots/shades is advised. There are plenty of public toilets. This place is having enough parking space. It is also a perfect place for small hiking. Naturally rich and beautiful place. It's awesome.

Dakshin Kali is a Kali temple situated at 22km from capital city of Nepal. There is dense crowd on Saturday and during navratra. Bali of hen and goat is also given here.

It takes about 50mins from balkhu to reach here but loved the view on the way to this temple.

The way to temple is easy, it doesn't take more than 45 minutes from Kathamandu ring road.. It is holy place of Hindu .. Dakshin means south and kali means goddess.. It means southern goddess. . It is just a km away from Pharping Bazar located in gateway of Kathmandu when coming from Hetauda.

Dakshinkali is a temple located outside Kathmandu main valley. It is very close from Taudaha a lake and the temple is highly believed by Hindu worshipers. It's really sitting in the lap of nature and people go there to fulfill their wishes.

Name it's self describe as a Hindu Goddess called South means Dakshin and Goddess means Kali. Pretty good to visit anytime a year but awesome in spring and autumn.
Roads are pretty good, public transport are also available. Situated at the south end corner is 22 km away from Kathmandu Valley.

Useful for hindus but need to take off shoes . Pubic toilet is not free . Sometimes they force to buy local products to tourists which is not good.. overall its impressive... way from Kathmandu was excellent

Very good place with natural beauty. The roads are so good on the way. And peple there are also good. From religious point of view the temple is well managed and i had good experiance there. In winter season its cold so go with some clothes. Stay safe and warm

On Saturday morning it was too crowded and we had to wait for almost 5 hours in line for Dharshan of Dakshinkali mata but it was worth waiting that long.

One of the Very famous & popular Hindu Temple in Kathmandu valley in Nepal. Almost who believe and fallow Hinduism visit for worship on every Saturday. In Hindus big festival Dashai every day big crowed of visitors .

My experience to Dakshinkali Temple was very good. We went there by taxi 🚕 in Saturday morning . Bikes, cars ,busses can also take you there. There were many devotees who were in a line waiting for their turn to worship lord Durga mata(Goddess).we were in the line too the line was well organized the line went smoothly and finally after 1 hours we get a chance to worship Gurga mata. After worshiping we were starving so we went near by restaurant there are many restaurants there with delicious food. We enjoyed selroti and Tarkari which is very famous there. When i was worshiping I felt like I am in heaven sitting beside Lord Durga mata for a second. It was a wonderful experience for me I would recommend all the devotees to go there once in there life.
