Barahi Temple’ is a Hindu temple of the goddess Barahi. It is the most important religious monument in Pokhara, Nepal. This temple is located on a small island in the middle of Phewa Lake. As the temple is situated on a small island, the only way to visit it is by boat. The temple is a symbol of manifestation of Ajima representing the female force. Devotees visit the temple in the Nepalese months of Baisakh (April-May) and Kartik (November-December)

The veiw was very scenic as it have very beautiful temple in the middle of fewa lake with nice views of the lake from all sides. Their are birds and fishes gather you all around and they sell feeds of fishes an bird it was so scenic. It costs 800 NPR to take a round-up reserved boat.

You have to take a small sized hand boat to cross the lake to visit the temple. Rs.105 per person to & fro, to be paid after reaching the island. Also Rs.10 for a life jacket.
The temple appeared ancient, though lot of crowd, still was clean & well maintained.
The priest applies a bit red kumkum & rice teeka on all devotees after darshan.
There are seats to sit outside the temple, a shop for instant photo counter, a souvenir shop on the island premises. Was crowded when I visited on a Tuesday morning at 10am.

A famous hindu Goddess temple situated in the center of Fewa lake. We have to use a boat to reach the temple. we can reserve a boat for personal use or take a public boat which is in que to sail there.

Tal Barahi Temple is located in middle of Phew Lake and is beautiful one. The structure is very beautiful and a good place for Hindu religious beliefs. The sunset 🌇 adds beauty to it. You can go by boat and it is just 30 minutes round trip.

Tal Barahi Temple is one of the best temple in Nepal. It very popular because it is located an Island surrounded by Fewa Lake. I enjoy a boat ride to or from the temple. All the areas are very nice for the photography. Beautiful green mountains on the side and on the horizon with Himalayas make it one of the best place to pictures. It is one the best place to visit when you are visiting Pokhara.
