Balthali Village Resort

If you want a quick getaway for the weekend, then this is a perfect place. Perched on a hill-top, surrounded by greenery with a satisfying view of the mountains. We had a very relaxing stay at this resort. A little bit of off-road but the view was quite worth it. Nice staffs and great location. Food was fine too.

Overall it's a beautiful place to stay, friendly staffs, hill and mountain view, availability of basic amenities makes it a destination. Almost an hour of driving from Kathmandu, roads are under construction so next time when we come we will have an easier route.

Hidden gem. Very few people go here because every one likes to go to Dhulikhel or Nagarkot resorts because those are the famous places and for me too crowded. Me and my brother spend two nights here just hiking around the local villages and hills. It's fairly easy hikes, not that tiresome. Each days we hiked about three to four hours and then settled for nice cold beer and snacks. Fresh typical Nepali dinner was served around eight in the evening and we took our time to go for breakfast whenever we felt like in the morning. When we booked the room dinner and breakfast was included as a package. Between few bottle of wines, beers during the day and all those snacks etc our total bill was about $150 USD for two nights. Not bad. If weather permits, great mountain views are waiting for you at the balcony.

Perfect place for a family vacation..with magnificient views.

The resort is great place for site view, village view and cool weather. Good to come for night stay and team fun.Food is also good. Located south west of Panauti, road access is available but road conditions is almost damaged in several places, hills part of road is quite narrow too.

I have visited here twice and both times, it was amazing. Lovely view of nature and good food, good mood and good ambience. It’s simply awesome.

I loved the place. Top of the hill, it has a great view of the green lands around Panauti. The cool fresh breeze, the peaceful environment, the service, the food, all were good. Would definitely visit the place again. The road leading to the place, however, is worked up. So they have hiace sumo services to pick you up.

Resort is awsome, situated far from the hustle and bustle of the city. Situated at the height, one can cherish the cool surrounding and panaromic views of surrounding hills and mountains too. Food offered is delicious and as there's a staying facilities too with rooms of different types one can plan for weekend stay too.

This Resort is away from hustle and bustle of Kathmandu valley.It's definitely a non touristic area,Sitting in a peaceful hill, rooms are clean, wifi working well, they make us very yummy dinner, really we all team love it.

We had an amazing time in Balthali! The resort is on top of a hill overlooking the valley. From our balcony we could be in nature while staying home. The trails around Balthali are gorgeous, leading to small villages, so genuine and hospitable. Highly recommend this place for a short vacation.

We were taken to Balthali village resort from meridian international school for a 1 night 2 days tour. Everything from food and accommodation was done in this resort. We were provided with great hospitality and environment there.
