Balthali Mountain Resort

Very nice experience at Balthali Mountain Resort. The staff is very friendly and the food is very good. It's like a home to us! (very good rice alcohol😉)

I came to this beautiful, serene, and peaceful place from my amazing tour guides recommendations. It was a beautiful drive from Kathmandu, we left early in the morning, catching the sunrise, surrounded with nature, fresh air, and variety of country side animals. The resort locations is on top of the hill so we could see the whole valley, we were able to see some mountain snow caps, that day was a little foggy although the staff said that it’s clearer during March, April, September, October, and November. We were greeted by the resort manager Rajan who was very friendly and accommodating, he gave us a tour of the facilities’ rooftop, halls, and deck that are all multipurpose from yoga, workshop, seminar, and special events. Then we were served a delicious local meals with fresh local vegetables and fruits by our lovely server Sankar who was very attentive and smiles the whole time while making sure we have everything we need, he refilled us with rice, curry, butter. I particularly ordered vegan and I had mushroom curry, eggplant tempura, rice with local butter, and green salad, amazing quality! I over all love the vibe, quietness, and its welcoming people. The over all experience in BMR was fantastic . I recently visited there in last august 2023. Best place to take break from your hectic schedule. The environment is very peaceful and the breath taking view was amazing . The food was hygienic and yummy . The service was also good.

Nested amidst the nature and Greenery Balthali Mountain Resort is the best destination to rejuvenate yourself. The pristine location, the view, villages and valley one can see from there is incredible. You will have the best experience with your stay in this Resort. This place is highly recommended.

Awesome place. Awesome service and best for weekend hangouts

This resort is located just outside the Kathmandu valley past historic village of Panauti at the top of the hills with magnificent views of the hills and the mountains. Went there for a night out and was very pleased with the hospitality of the staff. The service was a bit slow but was happy coz they delivered with the food. The breakfast was the most memorable for me as you get nice buffet with the views of the mountains. Highly recommend and best bang for your buck.

Place was quite welcoming just in the lap of nature. It is very nice place to stay overnight. Highly recommended overnight stay only 2.5 hr far from Kathmandu. Cold breeze, fresh air and of course delicious food. Loved it.

Just 2 hours away from Kathmandu city, this place is beautiful for weekend getaway with friends and family. Beautiful location, nice hospitality, good food, clean rooms, this is everything I look when it comes to spending holidays away. If you go this time of year, you'll even get to enjoy the beautiful mustard field along the way. ❤

The resort is in a perfect location for anyone who wants to enjoy sometime in nature. There is nothing to complain about. Good food, clean room, hospitable staffs, peaceful environment, what do you need more? It was a great experience staying there.

Good environment, best view, good place, best food i didnt expect that tasty food but it was all a good experience

Had a wonderful experience with my family. I suggest a trek from the base where the road gets quite narrow. They were very accommodating about some of my older family members and were ready to help wherever necessary. The view was amazing, the food delicious and the rooms were cozy but above all the hospitality of the staff deserves high praises.

This is a beautiful getaway out of k-town. Slightly far though. Serene place, accomodating staff and absolutely beautiful 😍 there's an option to park your vehicle and hike about 1 hour to reach the resort. Gets slightly cold at night so maybe grab a light jacket. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Great food variety too. Specially loved the gundruk sadheko and chicken chowmein. 😋

We went to this place for a weekend getaway last week upon my recommendation. Having been to this resort for numerous times, I was so fond of this place that I even told my friends that it feels like going to my Maitighar. They laughed at first but later after visiting the place, they realized why I felt so. The staffs were very hospitable as always and the overall environment is just perfect to set the mood for a relaxing stay. The food was also very good, especially the barbeque. Unlike regular barbeque, the meat was wrapped in an aluminum foil which made it more tender and juicier. The only drawback associated with the place is the arduous journey one has to make through the dusty and ill-maintained roads, but the resort itself has little to do with it. It would be better if the resort, along with the local community, take up the matter strongly to the concerned authorities, considering the lucrative tourism potential of the place.

Best to have family time, great ambience and beautiful environment. Food is great with fair cost. Hospitality and service are the key things here. Overall it is best place to hangout with friends and family which you won't regrets. 😊😊

This newely established facility is located at a mountain top in Balthali. We enjoyed the hospitality of the staff and the services offered during our four days stay. The breakfast and all food offered was great.
The seminar hall is well equipped with a projector and electricity backup. Free internet service is provided at almost all areas of the resort.
The rooms are comfortable with attached bathrooms and running hot water.
Overall, a great experience.

It should be noted that the access to the place is limited to private vehicles only, transport can also be arranged by the resort on request. Small four wheelers will not be able to make it there but it should not be a problem for motorbikes.

This place is on a serene hilltop with spectacular view. If you need a relaxed getaway from the valley, this is exactly the place for you. Nice staffs and good food too.
