Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort

The place was amazing, we loved our stay in the ÖDD Suite in the dunes (no 19). The house is super stylish yet small, but that was to be expected - however, a couple of storage options / hooks & a mirror would definitely come in handy! We loved the design of the houses & overall vibes in the camp, even got to enjoy the free yoga class! Location was quiet but very secluded. Some food / bar options in the evening would be nice, as options on the beach are limited during slower season. Bike rental is available, I’d recommend electric bikes for a trip through the dunes :-) the staff was attentive and reachable via phone / WhatsApp if no one was on location. Definitely recommend!

Amazing experience with a friendly team. We made it through a heavy storm , no damage to any tiny house I was surprised how this little houses held on. And this amazing team clean all houses in a blink of an eye just some hours after storm. However, it's always nice to give a hand.❤❤❤ Thank you all till next visit

Once again a lovely stay. We’ve been here 4 times and this time with a baby. There’s enough room in the comfort house to bring your own cot. Staff are wonderful and extremely accommodating. Great vibes, clean and comfortable house with everything you need. There’s a bar on the campsite with good coffee and croissants. The camp is beautifully rugged and really feels as if you are camping in the dunes. The beach is only a two minute walk away. Well worth the price.

Beautiful camp close to the beach. Each house is different so I can only recommend the house we stayed in which was great (cozy feeling, comfy bed, basic equipment for cooking). Parking is right in front of the camp and the staff was super friendly.
You walk to the beach within 5min.
You can order breakfast from the close by beach bar during the main season. Additionally there's a small bar at the chill out area where you can purchase coffee and drinks.

We had a blast this summer with Basecamp in IJmuiden! Special shout out for the team: effortless communication, staff is very open and ready to help, it makes a real difference when you book for a group of 30 people.

The territory is well kept and a lot of fun to hang out in: campfire, greenhouse for a bad weather, big outdoor space with tables, chairs and swings for a good weather. The houses are cozy, and it's nice to have coffee and olive oil on the counter when you arrive. Felt like home!

We stayed for two nights in the Tiny sun deck house and loved it! We had a great time and it’s just a few walking minutes from the beach. The house was very clean, we felt very comfortable.
We can definitely recommend and will come back!

We stayed here for only 3 days and 3 nights, we wish it would have been longer and during a bit warmer weather. Due to some electrical issues, we could not stay in our reserved tiny house, however, we were upgraded. It was a blessing in disguise even if my husband could not take advantage of the rooftop terrace for photos. Bart made our accommodation even better, without hesitation and always with a smile he upgraded us, made sure we settled in well and checked in on us during our stay. We hope to return in a year or so and we recommend staying here, especially if you want access to the beach. Restaurant tips: Kinko Japanese Restaurant, Fish & Seafood Waasdorp, Indian Tandoori King Ijmuiden, Boulangerie Oscar.

I had a wonderful experience, in the best lakeview cabin ever! Wonderful view over a dunelake, from the bed! The walls are mirrored glass.
Even though this little but spacious cabin is a bit separated from the other tiny houses, it is part of a wonderful sustainable project. There are about 35 tiny houses in different sizes and possibilities. Dont expect a very smooth commercial park, at first sight it looks a bit messy. But relaxed and friendly and the cabins are clean and well stocked. They want a zero carbon footprint. The staff is young and enthusiastic and very helpful.
The surroundings are great too. It is very near to a very wide beach, and some nature dune area. There are a few restaurants nearby in an eighties nostalgic strip on a dike. Also there are three or four beach restaurants.
It is not at all noisy and busy and still so very near Amsterdam, half an hour by bus from Sloterdijk station.

Coming on Basecamp Ijmuiden on the way/road it seemed strange to find such a thing, considering companies and offices, but this then turns out to be a positive point on arrival, because you feel that just a few hundred metres away from it all there is a hidden magic world...
Apart from the architecture, people and the nice beach, it's a "set of energies" and colours that I cannot quite describe.
Right now I just think there is no other place I would rather be 😌GRAZIE 🙏🏻

Not cheap, but clearly something special and unique. Sleeping in Tiny Houses brings you back to what you really need and away from the wave of modern consumer society. The Basecamp Area has its own flair and maybe the most helpful staff I ever experienced central Europe.

We booked spontaneously through airbnb and loved it here. Great wine tasting and lovely little houses. Perfect spot for a short getaway.

Very kind staff! We stayed at the soap factory and it was such an amazing experience; everything was clean, tasteful interior and just very pleasant and cousy.
