Absolutely fantastic, I can’t fault any of it. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the ship is immaculate. The restaurants are really nice although they are overpriced but you get a good standard of food. There is a cinema, nightclub, arcade, viewing platforms, cafe and a bar with live music which again was really good. The price is amazing for what you get.

I had an amazing time! I got a deal a few months ago and was a little bit skeptical about the “mini-cruise” but it exceeded my expectations. We did the IJmuiden > Newcastle trip. The cabin was clean, had a bigger space than expected and even a small sofa. The staff was super welcoming, friendly, walking elegantly even though the ferry was about capsize 😂 jokes aside, very different than the horrible European service that you have everywhere. Wide selection on the buffet, different cuisines and everything kept nicely heated. Plenty of different entertainment options, even live music! Cannot recommend them enough, just looking forward to my next trip! :)

Ps: border control in Newcastle took a while.

This is our 2nd time to travel from DFDS ferry, its nice experience, staff are very friendly and nice. The price of the food is a bit pricey though😬 it's pity theres no spa and swimming pool anymore. I will still recommend DFDS because there's play area for kids and cinema and entertainment for adult too😊❤

A while ago I made a DFDS crossing to Newcastle and back to IJmuiden. The departure was on a Wednesday, a city trip in Newcastle on Thursday, and the arrival in the port of IJmuiden on Friday. It was 3 days of enjoying all the facilities on board and in Newcastle.
If there is an opportunity I would book it again.
The staff on board and on land are nice and helpful and very professional.

We had breakfast which was wonderful!!!
We are in our late 70's. Bought the cheapest ticket w bunk beds. We couldn't climb out of the top bunk. So my husband slept on the floor. Young People would be fine. Bathroom nice!

Great trip to Newcastle. Nice and clean cabin, not too big, but good value for money. Loads of stuff to do onboard, and a nice view from the bar on th 11th floor. Bit of a tight squeeze while parking, but the staff is very helpful!

They've got boarding the ferry down to a science! Really friendly staff and an easy process even though we were traveling with our campervan and dog.

Awesome facilities and good prices on the mini cruises. Doing this again very soon. Check in very quick and staff are brilliant. Rooms are clean but small unless you pay for the Commodore suites.

Booked a mini cruise to Amsterdam, check in was easy staff are polite and professional, once on board we made our way to our cabin, very clean, clean beds and towels plenty of hot clean water, the ship is well signposted lots of information on each deck. We had a walk around then went on the top deck as we sailed down the river Tyne. We visited the duty-free shop's for a look all well stocked then headed to the bar, good choice of drinks and snacks reasonably priced and can pay in sterling or euros, plenty of seating areas, tables and chairs we watched the entertainment and had a really good night. When we arrived in Amsterdam passport control was clean and well signposted no problems then we were directed to the coach for our city transfer. The return was just as easy and our return crossing was just as good. I would highly recommend booking this trip 5*

First time on a cruise, but the mini cruise I took part in was such an amazing experience. Traveled from Newcastle to Amsterdam. When purchasing our ticket, we were given an option to take a coach which took us from the station to the port and the back again. Same when we arrived in Amsterdam DFDS coach took us from the port to the city, the back again. The ship left on time, we had a great weather, safety announcements were prompt and constant. The ferry had plenty of activities for both children and adults so there was never a dull moment. The rooms were clean with ensuite, with option to choose from a bunk bed to a double bed. The restaurant's were amazing but also quite expensive so I would recommend bringing some extra snacks, a bottle of a water and fruits onboard the ship to keep spending cost low. Highly recommended and great value for money for those who would like to do a short cruise.

Really really enjoyed this, clean rooms nice food, and good entertainment, duty free is cheaper than last year ! And the choppy waters made alot of people sick that that's nothing to do with dfds, you will see some spectacular sunrises and sun sets as well.
