Love love the chocolate croissant. The bakery opens early and all the baked goods are fresh and mostly importantly, yummy mehn.

Great bakery renowned for their Almond croissants! I can tell you that the buzz around these croissants is definitely justified as they are the best I have ever had. We also tried some beignets and their panini which were also very good. Will definitely come back to this bakery!

Definitely one of the best bakeries in Leiden. Beautiful fresh french bread and pastries. Lovely people and lovely atmosphere.

I must say though, the recipe change of the croissant saddened me. It used to be so full of flavour and such a rich treat.

I love "Croissant aux Amandes" here!! I could have had one on the day just before my departure ... so I have nothing left to do in the Netherlands. I recommend it for anyone who will visit Leiden except for Sunday (as the bakery is closed every Sunday).

Delicious bread and pastries! I recommend the citron meringue tartelette. The workers will warm up your sandwich or pastry if you request it. It's definitely recommended for the goat's cheese pastry I had- but it was still delicious without being warmed up :)

Best bakery in Leiden, hands-down!

I am half French and half Italian, and I have to share that this Boulangerie is on a parr with the best bakeries in Paris, France!

The croissants, macarons and various bread options are phenomenal.

I purchased my items whilst visiting Leiden for the day and attending the Saturday market in the city center.

Because of Mamie Gourmande, I will be returning to Leiden.

One of the best bread shops that I have ever had in Leiden. I ate croissant aux almond just made. The almond paste spread evenly and the pastry is not only Incredibly crunchy, multilayered but also smooth and substantial.

A bread for 12 Euro. I was surprised by the price but as here is perfect bakery I decided to try. Super delicious. Very farm with full of wheat aroma and solid texture. You can buy a slice as well.

Consistently great, I'm a sandwich (chicken) almond croissant regular. Also a fan of the other food, but that's just a lovely lunch for me. Normal croissants, cheese and ham croissant, quiches, canele, chocolate bread, and pistachio madeleine are also often on my list.

The croissant with almond is super delicious, a completely different experience than all the ones you can get in Dutch bakeries.

And on Saturdays, they have a huge bread that is probably the best bread you can buy in this country.

This bakery was tricky to find as I had to make two trips to find it . Nonetheless the almond croissants tastes heavenly although they are quite rich & filling. I tried almost everything from salmon quiche, artichoke quiche, their eclairs, chocolate tarte, puff pastry,delicious coffee. I enjoyed almost everything they had. This place is like a treasure , loved their baked goods . The staff is friendly too. You need to go in early & grab whatever you want as people line up and the stuff gets over quickly.

Real French bakery. Very good selection of bread, croissants, macaroons, jams, tartes and many more. Everything is delicious. I go here at least 2 times/week.

Simply the best of the best.
The quality of bread, pastries and delicatessen is just outstanding.
You can't tell to have tried real puff pastry till you got a taste of theirs: deliciously crunchy, buttery, it smells of what I think heaven smells like.
My favourite is the pain au fruits rouges, c'est vraiment formidable.
Definitely recommend coming on multiple occasions and savouring all the different gourmandises they're offering.

The best french bakery in Leiden. I also love their cute little tables outside overlooking the market area and the rijn canal. Some of the pastries are already sold out by the afternoon.

Absolutely gorgeous and pure delight! Best cannelé I have had in the Netherlands. Goodness, 1.80 for a peace of heaven. Delicate tartelettes, beautiful and balanced. Perfect eclaires. Lovely bread. I hope this place will prosper, it is a treasure!
