HUG THE TEA

All the dishes and drinks were so delicious!! The rose matcha latte tasted nice with oat milk, even tasted like my favorite rose cookie! Also the summer special waffle was topped with yogurt, yuzu jam and pomegranate which was the perfect match with the matcha waffle. The waffle was so soft, and the portion was quite big since I was full the entire day :))
I loved the playlist of the music in the cafe, and the vibe was very chill and cozy. Lady of this cafe even helped us to paint the Dutch flag on our faces since we also wanted to have one on our faces. There were tompouche and sjoelen which added more Kingsday festiveness🧡👑

I had a fantastic experience at Café Hug the Tea! The food was super delicious, and the staff were incredibly helpful. It’s also a great place for families; very kid-friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend it!

The food was delicious and really interesting with different flavours and textures combined. The service was a little but slow but very friendly - I imagine that they were a bit understaffed. Nevertheless, we enjoyed it a lot since we were not in a rush.

Very cute café! I ordered the iced rose matcha latte which was very nice, had a gentle flavor. The daifukus are also tasty and authentic although a little pricey for the amount you get.

This is one of those place where you go to when you want to tret yourself. You can get some excellent matcha based drinks and foods with friendly service.

There is limited outside seating but the inside looks fresh with a Scandinavian interior design.

Very matchy. The pancakes were very tasty and the variaty of cold and hot matcha drinks was impressive. The stuff super friendly, ambiente minimalistic with japanese flair.

Delicious food. Really loved the sweetness balance. Often I find that the Matcha is sweetened so much its quality isnt tastable anymore but I loved how pure and well done everything tasted!

Favorite place to come and chill in the Hague. Very aesthetic with VERY good matcha food + drinks. Highly recommend for a cute afternoon drink :)

Very aesthetically pleasing and probably one of the most authentic Matcha experience you’ll get outside of Japan. Their tea is organic and directly imported from Japan. Their seating and overall mood is very Instagram worthy !

The place was enlarged and moved a few metres down the charming Papen straat. It is even better now! Beautiful, light and airy space with nice ambiance. I had a very yummy matcha cheesecake and double shot matcha. I will surely be back to taste other delightful teas and desserts!

One of the few places in this country which knows how to make quality matcha. This would normally not mean a lot, since most places that sell “matcha” are not good, but Hug The Tea defies all expectations!

Such a sublime and wonderful place for the finest, straight up matcha and other delights.

Waffles are wonderfully soft. Cutlery and decor is beautiful. A lovely place to retreat from the world for a while or enjoy time with friends.

I was so happy that they had so many dairy/lactose free options! The shop is very cute and has a great atmosphere. Plus the tea sisters are so genuine and sweet! If you have a matcha craving in The Hague you NEED to come here!

Finally - excellent tea after 2 weeks in the Netherlands!
I enjoyed a Japanese black tea even though Hug the Tea specializes in matcha and green tea. My husband felt the same way about the green tea.
