The windmills were nice, but I'm writing this review specifically to spread the word of their apple turnovers (appelflap). They were amazing and the best I have ever had!

Good for resting after or during your visit of Kinderdijk.
Nice view from the roof, with a ground map with all the mills , the canals and their function.

Das Besucherzentrum bietet Tickets an um an den Kinderdijk Mühlen alle Gebäude und Mühlen auch von Innen zu begutachten. Aktuell beläuft sich der Preis auf 16€ pro Person. Die Servicekraft war sehr freundlich und aufgeschlossen und konnte auch Deutsch sprechen. In dem Ticket befindet sich auch die Bootsfahrten inkl. oder man geht zu Fuß. Sehr lehrreich und sehenswert.

About Kinderdijk
Village in the Netherlands

Kinderdijk is a village in the municipality of Molenlanden, in the province of South Holland, Netherlands. It is located about 15 km east of Rotterdam. Kinderdijk is situated in the Alblasserwaard polder at the confluence of the Lek and Noord rivers. To drain the polder, a system of 19 windmills was built around 1740. This group of mills is the largest concentration of old windmills in the Netherlands. The windmills of Kinderdijk are one of the best-known Dutch tourist sites. They have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. source
