We broke down at this petrol station at around 3 pm, and after extremely poor service from the roadside recovery company, we were stuck at this station for 8 HOURS!
When we explained the situation to the woman working at the petrol station, Marielle, she had so much sympathy for us and made it her mission to get us home safe! She was so caring and supportive, giving us access to the bathroom and cups of tea, lending us her phone charger, and even sharing some of her personal food with us (lekker doughnuts).
It was a nightmare day stuck in cold waiting for a tow truck that never came, and if it wasn't for Marielle we would've been utterly hopeless.
WE LOVE YOU MARIELLE THANK YOU FOR SAVING US YOU ARE A WONDERFUL HUMAN!

Super vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Ik was gestrand met een kapotte auto en ik kon mijn mobiel niet vinden. Ik ging naar binnen om te vragen of ik mocht bellen. Ik kreeg meteen een warm onthaal. De dame zei; "Neem eerst maar is een kop koffie." Ze gaf mij koffie en een telefoon. Ik zei; " Ik weet geen nummers meer uit mn hoofd. Ik moet het opzoeken." "Geen probleem gaan we regelen zei ze." Er kwam ondertussen een mannelijke collega aanlopen en zei; "Mevrouwtje ik wil wel even naar uw auto kijken en liep behulpzaam naar mn auto, motorkap open etc. Helaas kon hij het probleem niet verhelpen maar wat was personeel lief en behulpzaam. Top!

Top tankstation! Erg goede (maar wel beetje prijzige) koffie #starbucks #latte #vanillasirup. Helpt je weer goed de weg op! Shout out to cassière Babs! Ze kwam de vergeten sigaretten van m'n mattie rennend naar de auto brengen #faithinhumanity. Jammer dat we door moesten, volgend keer ook hier eten.

About Kinderdijk
Village in the Netherlands

Kinderdijk is a village in the municipality of Molenlanden, in the province of South Holland, Netherlands. It is located about 15 km east of Rotterdam. Kinderdijk is situated in the Alblasserwaard polder at the confluence of the Lek and Noord rivers. To drain the polder, a system of 19 windmills was built around 1740. This group of mills is the largest concentration of old windmills in the Netherlands. The windmills of Kinderdijk are one of the best-known Dutch tourist sites. They have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. source
