Hans & Gretel pancake house

Huge themed children focussed pancake restaurant. Heaven for toddlers. Has a Hansel and Gretal theme. Sitting inside the main building at one of the moving tables is the best. The floor moves up and down, sometimes the witch starts playing piano. There are several indoor and outdoor places for kids to play and climb in. Order the children's pancake and they get a coin to spend in the candy shop near the entrance.

This place is phenomenal! My kid has a great time here, even on a rainy day. Food was good, service was even better. Everyone was so friendly and you’re encouraged to explore. My one recommendation is perhaps the restaurant can find a better way to communicate with people who had made reservations that they need to modify. I had tried calling/emailing several times to adjust my reservation time from noon to 10, but to no avail. Luckily it wasn’t an issue when we arrived, but I can’t promise that that is always the case. To sum up…Highly recommend!

Hans en Grietje is fantastic. Awesome playground, inside and outside. Really nicely made with plenty of small details to entertain the kids and parents
Eating inside is super fun and there's lots to do while waiting for the food. Lots of sneaky tricks and hidden treasures. The food is really tasty, a much higher quality than you would normally "expect" from a kids playhouse. Pancakes are amazing and even the simple sounding salad was delicious and super fresh. 1 Pancake is enough to keep you going the whole day😆😆

This place is amazing. A wonderfull fairytale restaurant with different rooms that have interactive hidden secrets for kids (including an indoor playground). Outside is a big fairytale village with climbing house, ghost shack and lots more. In wintertime they even have fun snackstands. The pancakes are wonderful and delicious and there's a wide variety to choose from

What a wonderful place. Even in the cold winter time.
You can see how awsome it would be in the summer with all the outside stuff for the kids to play on.
Inside as well. All very well done and a must visit and take the kids.

Great Pancakes, great location with an free (!) outdoor playground. Great spot to hang out with the kids and have a nice dinner afterwards. Highly recommended!
But you better place your reservation. Especially on the weekends its hard to get a table

One of the best kid centric themed restaurants I have been to & it was so well decorated that even we adults felt like playing in the kids park and sitting on the moving tables & were in awe.
Many kids activities to keep the little ones busy for hours on the huge trampoline balls, slides & the other activities.
A must visit if you are in the Amsterdam area, and plan your day accordingly. They allow walk ins which could be a long wait if you prefer sitting inside, or smaller wait times for outside patio seating, but reservations are preferred for bigger groups and to dine at the halls with moving tables, floors, etc.

The place is wonderful.
There are lots of playing options for the kids and great atmosphere for everyone. Bring a swimming suit for your kids and a towel to dry them out. The food is also good, the portions are very big and tasty. We'll definitely go there again!

It's a heaven for energetic kids with lots of slides, swings, big bouncy ball, concrete maze. We went there around 6pm and came back at 8:30pm, kids were tired by then,we adults were too. Pancakes were good and witch's glass is a memory to take with you. Overall good experience and ideal for 2-3 hours outing. Inside Ambience was good and prebooking is better if you are travelling on a weekend to avoid disappointment

Very cool place! The food was nice! Pancakes were really big and the cakes were delicious and fresh!! The place is also very cool and fun! Definitely recommend for kids but also for adults! A lot of playgrounds for kids and a lot of things to interact with.

One of the most nicest places I have ever been with kids. Pancakes are delicious and the playground is for free, as well as the parking...which is rarely seen nowadays. Highly recommend it to go there for at least a half day, the kids will not be bored.

very interesting establishment to visit if you are in the vicinity. It's so interestingly created ever since our childhood. Was told by the staff that it was a fairy tale created by the owners themselves personally.

Food: To be honest, the food on the average side of the house. Nothing special, but portions are huge. (Refer to pics). The kids ice cream is not worth it at 5€ per scoop. Nothing special at all.

But the ones that made it special are the movable chairs, floors, and figurines. The table will move around when you are having your meals.

Service: would like to pay extra credit to our server, Eveline, for the kind and patience provided for us. Telling us the background, giving us some ideas and kept checking back on us to make sure we are doing fine... Thanks Eveline!

Just want to say we have visited twice on our holiday and it was by far 1 of our best places we visited, even though it did rain briefly it didn't ruin our experience. The kids loved it , such a great idea and an amazing place Hans & Gretel have created. Knowing it has grown from 10 tables is quite an achievement. We will be back .

Really a nice and popular place for kids, full of people, don’t forget to make reservation ahead. Pancake is really tasty, good service quality as well.

Pancakes and playing, what more can a kid want? Super nice, but the service could be more proactive. There could be more toilets. And it is really noisy, but what else can you expect from such a nice place..?

Great day out option! Lots of things to discover for the kids. They both loved it (7&10 years old). Slides and trampolines were their favorites. Only one down side: we had to wait for 35 minutes for the food...and the place was not full, but it was a sunny day... We visited in may vacation .

Once you go in through the gate, you enter fairytale land. The whole place is designed to create an experience of a being inside the fairytale. Outside of the main restaurant building there are lots of activities for children a small amusement park I would say. Inside the main house you will find yourself amazed from the details that recreate a witch house. And here also you can find lots of activities for children. And of course, this is a pancakes house, and they are very tasty. As a bonus you get a witch nose that you can take home. Don’t forget to buy the children a candy at the exit with coins that the waiter/waitress gives them. Recommended for families to spend here 4 hours

It’s a great space for kids and my son loved it. I would say that the food is amazing for kids, but maybe not so “adult focused”, but for sure this is not a reason to not visit this place. I look forward to spend a day there in the spring.

The restaurant is mainly a pancake house with lots of house specials. They have lots of other snacks as well.
The in house lemonade jar is a must try 😄
The area is specifically designed for kids and is amazing.
