Van der Valk Hotel Harderwijk

Excellent hotel. Reception staff is very friendly and efficient. Restaurant staff is trained well and have great manners. Hotel room was very clean and roomy for Dutch standards. I was so happy I stayed another night. Bar isn't great, first night slow service and second night it closed 20 minutes early. Reception to the rescue, beers in the small store in the lobby. Overal great stay.

It is is a beautiful building with spacious rooms, clean beds, a beautiful balcony and a great bathroom . the food is delicious and the cost is normal. the light in the middle of the woods so you can take a walk in the woods or go mountain biking. it is also close to a lake and a village so there are plenty of excursion options. in the

Beautiful hotel and rooms with good breakfast variety but definitely its best feature is the surroundings! All beautiful forests with walking routes plus a climb park next to it. Can't wait to come back with the whole family and enjoy a weekend of peaceful nature.

The rooms are big and clean. We enjoyed the bubble bath at each room.

Very pleasant hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary at! The room was very quiet with forest facing windows (though the wallpaper and floor had a pattern that was a tad too psychedelic for our tastes). Loved the spa bath! Very good quality food at the restaurant!

Great restaurant. Menu is not that long but enough to choose from for most. Far enough from the highway not to hear the cars but close enough not to be a detour. As it's surrounded by forest, it's also a good place to visit after a hike or bike ride as many people do. The restaurant is mid-range in price and class but in a pleasant way.

Fantastic hotel. Never had any issues with Van Der Valk chain. Only thing is that you have to book way in advance as they're always full.

Had dinner there. don't usually enjoy eating at hotels, but we were on our way to Belgium. Really great dinner! Can definitely vouch for the quality of their food.

I'm a regular client at Van der Valk. Hotel Harderwijk is one of my favorites - it's very cozy and the interior is very nicely done. The restaurant has a great menu, with a lot to choose from. I usually have the Tournedos with pepper sauce. The chocolate mud pie is a must try!! If you like fish, I would definitely recommend the dover sole. The service is polite, quick and most importantly - they know what they're talking about. The hotelbar is a great place to hang out before or after dinner and have a drink.

The hotel rooms are spacious and, just like the rest of the hotel, beautifully decorated and each room is slightly different from the other. Every room has a whirlpool which I think is so great!

Harderwijk is a cute town with beautiful surroundings. Hotel Harderwijk also rents bikes. They have a little motor so they're surprisingly fast. You can do a lot of bike tours through the surrounding nature.

All in all, definite recommendation if you want a nice weekend away in a beautiful, green environment with great food. Van der Valk makes you feel right at home.

Went here for some lunch, and decided to make use of the lunch buffet. A very variety of dishes, all of which were very tasty. Highly recommended.

The hotel is very nice and cozy! I like the atmosphere, rooms are large, restaurant offer excellent food, and a bar is beautiful!
