Last weekend we visited this beautiful cathedral. It was one of the last weekends that we were allowed to clime the cathedral from the outside, what made this visit extra special.

We used the chance for the Avontuurlijke Klim at Sint-Jan: climbing all the way to the top and seeing the cathedral from so close, with the view from it was breathtaking! Not really for the ones who are afraid of heights but recommended highly as this is a one in a lifetime opportunity!

Beautiful cathedral both inside and out. I was impressed by the huge organ which we were lucky to hear playing. There are also some interesting works of art. We tried going up but it's necessary to buy tickets in advance because the spots are filled up quickly.

Absolutely beautiful me and my husband were in awe over this church we walked around outside and inside. It is completely worth going to see and enjoying the rich history of this church.

It was also nice you could buy a cadle with pinpas so we could light one for a blessing our rat willow.

Beautiful historic Catholic cathedral. It's free to enter and very peaceful and atmospheric to wander around. The organ is particularly impressive, and has a wonderfully carved wooden surround.
You can go up onto the roof for a great view (children must be aged 8 or over to do this). We came by car and parked 5 minutes away at Voetgangersuitgang parkeergarage St-Jan which was very convenient.

This Cathedral is amazing from the beginning you can see its Gothic style from the outside and inside --however, back on the days was more Romanesque but it was demolished =( --. You can walk for most of the places inside. as It is Gothic the combination between dark places and lights, makes it perfect contrast. the main tower has 74 meters and this make it the highest church in The Netherlands.

The Catholic Cathedral Church of St. John (Sint-Janskathedraal) of 's-Hertogenbosch, North Brabant is one of the most beautiful churches in the Netherlands. It is a Gothic church with richly decorated interior. It serves as the cathedral for the bishopric of 's-Hertogenbosch (Den Bosch). inside you can see the miraculous Statue of Our Lady of ’s-Hertogenbosch. There is also a small chapel dedicated to orthodox icons. It is definitely worth visiting.

A Roman Catholic Cathedral full of details for both interior and exterior. Amazingly eye catching and huge, especially the colorful windows.
Nice cafe's all around it with the view. If you visit Den Bosch, be careful not to miss here. It is a must-see place.

Simply majestic! Fist time in a cathedral and happy it was this one. Amazed by everything in the Church. Grote Kerk truly justifies its name (grote=big) , a gigantic monument of beauty and elegance . And don't forget to eat in any of the cafe places around , a Bossche Bol ..harder to write the name than eat the thing

Beautiful church in an amazing location. Church building is a state of art with a lot of natural light and a beautiful wood pillars. The environment is quite with a feeling of a sacred place.
The pipe organ is a majestic part of the church.
I recommend everyone to visit this church.

I am an American visiting friends in The Netherlands, and I recently visited the Sint-Janskathedraal, which is is a stunning cathedral in s'-Hertogenbosch.

The cathedral is almost 800 years old and includes many popular relics visited by the Catholic faithful.

I visited the day before Easter Sunday, and the cathedral looked perfect. It was inspirational to see all of the holy items, the artwork, and the architecture.

Be sure not to miss the amazing statues on the roof of the cathedral and be sure to look for the woman on her cell phone (calling a hotline to God)!

Lovely, well preserved Catholic Church and i love the idea that they put terminals where you can pay easily with cards (if you dont have cash on hand) when you want to light candles.

Always good be there, most wonderful experiencefor people visiting 's-Hertogenbosch (that is actually Des Hertogenbosch! (But short, sort of) meaning The Forest of the Duke of the Brabant, once). The chapel of the holy virgin Maria, a very old little wooden carved Maria statue with little Jezus statue. The Garments changecduring the year. Flowers are always fresh, and of course, you can burn different sorts of candles. Paid. Silence is obligated for prayer. No pictures, rather, too. You can buy cards at the service shop in the Cathedral.
Of course, the Cathedral has many more statues, etc. Beautiful mosaic windows. Etc. Etc.

Contribute for the Cathedral and yourself, as you choose.

A wonderful example of high Gothic. Make sure to pay the small fee for the self-guided tour booklets, as they provide a great deal of information about the history of the cathedral and the religious struggles it has endured.
