Vennegatstrand Twiske

Beautiful area with lots of lovely walks and bike paths. You can do short or long walks and there are off leash areas for the dogs too. Parking isn't free (cost EUR 3.50 for about 2.5 hours on Sunday) and there are plenty of spaces. It does get very busy when the weather is nice (especially near the water) and lots of folks have barbeques so bread to keep your dog on the leash in these areas. Trash cans are available at some locations in the park so be ready to carry your trash if walking far from parking areas. Trails are colour coded so you probably won't need map, but do use one if unfamiliar with the area coz the signs can be hard to spot at times.

A glorious open space full of water, little beaches and picnic spots. Good for families, friends and a great date night spot.
