Meijendel

Nature park Meijendel offers a stunning blend of beach, forest, and dunes, making it an ideal destination for hiking or trail running. The diverse landscapes provide a picturesque backdrop for outdoor enthusiasts. However, it's important to note that the park can get quite busy during the summer months.

Been here a number of times now. Have never eaten a meal here, just some drinks and snacks but those were great. The location around the restaurant is great. A fun playing space for young kids and nice trails to walk on. The beach is about a 25 minute walk away. It's a nice trail and I highly recommend it.

Next to the restaurant there is also a fun informative building with information about the surrounding environment.

Parking is great. Plenty of space and it's free!

Very beautiful place, kids' playground is there as well as ponies.
Even grown-ups remembered how wired and fun childhood could be ) You can see a variety of natural landscapes from forest to dunes, seaside and lakes, sandy pathes and meadows. But please, be aware of ticks! We've got one. View your clothes, body and shoes before go to sleep after the fruitful day at the park.

Beautiful, rich place for a walk, in Summer or Winter. Great for kids, dogs, adults. It's close to the beach so nice for a combo visit in Summer. Has a lovely bit with wild horses and cows. So cool!

Beautiful park for biking and hiking. Some patient and sneaky move you can spot many gorgeous animals and flowers. Twisted tress make a amazing landscape...😲😲

A beautiful fairytale dune, clear waters and sandy hills all the way to the sea. There is a restaurant where you can eat a pancake and drink a hot beverage as well, delicious and in winter a gentle fire is burning indoors

A beautiful place to walk around or chill out and relax. Between the sand dunes it is like you are somewhere else, but not in the Netherlands.

The highest altitude place around Leiden and The Hague 😀 with a beautiful forest, dunes and access to the beach. After a hike you can enjoy pancakes and even better a healthy meal in the restaurant

Very nice small hiking trails, nature is key here, lots of small birds and insects.

Wonderful place to take a stroll and see the beauty of natural dunes. Pick a later or earlier hour to meet more animals there, when less people are visiting it.

Beautiful, spacious and quiet place to explore when the sun is out. Make sure to bring some snacks, comfortable footwear and drinks!

Such a nice area for a long or a short walk or bike ride while spotting wild life and not so far from the buzz of a busy city.

Beautiful place to take rest in the nature. We went there during weekend, when the weather was quite nice,so was super busy. Parking is not too big,so we had to wait in the line before there were enough free parking spots,but waiting was worth it for sure.

Really cool place and beautiful nature, if someone showed me this i wouldn't guess it was in the Netherlands haha... It was a cool experience cycling through the park during sunset

There are two big free parking areas next to a restaurant and an information centre. The staff is very friendly.
There's also a playground for the children where they can play pumping water in a small circuit.
There are various routes from here to the dunes and the wild beach, or to the forest, by bike or on foot.
Important to note that no bikes can be rented there, so if you want to take the bike paths, you need to hire them at den Haag, which is not far away and is well connected through bike paths.
We walked along the path to the beach (5 km go and back) and it was really worth.

Had a hot chocolate here in the woods. What a great location and the service kind and efficient.
