Fairytale Forest

Fantastic fairy tale forest for small kids. Mine age 1 3 5 had the best day ever here. Plenty of fairytales visualized. Small but nice attractions, a large playground, plenty of pick nick possibilities, a basic fast-food restaurant, small animal farm and a cave system you can visit. The park has a 90's feel to it but that did not bother anyone really. You don't go here to be amazed as adult. Only downside is that the park is located on the flank of a hill, meaning with a buggy you have a lot of pushing to do :-)

We used this as a pitstop for our 2 year old from Netherlands to Germany. It was nicely positioned in the middle of our trip.

The park is a mix of fairy tale exebition attractions and fiar attractions. The price was cheap and the employees were approachable and kind.

There are a mix of reviews about the park being outdated and behind on maintenance. While you see this at some of the fairytale exebitons, you also see others that have been recently touched up and renewed. It didn't bother us at all.

We also ate here for lunch and while the menu is simple it was well prepared and timely delivered.

We bought our tickets online which was quick and easy.

Special attention is required at the moment for parking be sure to park at 'Geulpark Valkenburg' from there it's a 7 minute walk up a small hill to the park entrance. This is paid parking where we spend about 5 euro for a 3 hours or so.

We enjoyed this fun park very much. The price for value ratio is very high hence the high score.
We have a 5 yrs and 7 yrs old, they had a lovely time.
What we like:
+ nice environment up on the hill, beautiful setting
+ all the rides are ok for the kids to go on their own as long as they are 120cm+-
+ the park is not too big not too small, just about right size for us that not too tired walking around
+ staff are very friendly, kids got a few solo runs on their own

What can improve:
- the stories houses indeed creepy and not very clean

All in all, we would recommend for family have similar age group kids for the park. We would definitely go again.

The surrounding is beautiful. The parc itself offers plenty of relaxation for both you and your little one(s). Decent prices. Besides this Valkenburg has plenty more to offer to fill up your entire day.

Great for younger kids (from walking age until 6/7 years old). Lots of nostalgic items in the little fairytale houses (check the "wolf en 7 geitjes" games on the table for instance). Lots of shade under the pine trees.

Super great for little kids! Very hilly though so be sure you plan for that!

Nice place for rather younger kids but all fairy tales are in Dutch only...

Simple, old fashioned, exciting dragon cave.. I really recommend it, for its simplicity!

Een leuke ontspannende namiddag gehad in dit sprookjesbos met onze kinderen van 4 en 2. Onze kinderen waren zéér enthousiast en hadden een leuke tijd. Het personeel was zéér vriendelijk en daarom dat ik deze review ook wil plaatsen. De vorige recensies zijn namelijk overkritisch en best onheus. Twee topics komen terug: 1) vaak steil en bergop 2) verouderd. Dat het vaak bergop gaat lees je zelfs op de website en is nogal logisch als het op een heuvel is. Het is echter geen onoverkomelijk iets en als een 2-jarige dit kan lijkt me dit best doenbaar voor de meeste gezinnen. Wat het verouderd aspect betreft, gaat dit vooral om de enscenering en de poppen van de sprookjes, maar dit is enkel iets wat ouders zien. De setting zelf is nog altijd charmant. Speeltuigen zelf zijn best nieuw. De algemene orde en hygiëne zijn zeer goed, speeltuin is dik ok en toiletten zijn proper. Wat wel een nadeel was, was dat er enkele attracties gesloten waren en ik had zelf ook een 4 of 3 gegeven, als niet iedereen in bashing modus was geslagen. Maar het park is gericht op jonge kids en er wordt aan gewerkt. Beste mensen, geef anderen ook een eerlijke kans. Reviews zijn belangrijk, dus wees eerlijk (1 op 5 is oorlogsgebied). Er zijn namelijk veel troeven: goed voor jonge kinderen, niet te druk, toegang en horeca zijn niet duur. Plus groene omgeving! Als bijlage wat foto's.

Superleuk park voor kleine kinderen! Leuk en netjes opgezet en zijn nog her en der dingen aan het vernieuwen! Snap echt niet dat mensen hier over kunnen zeuren, zoals onderstaande reviews!

Heel vriendelijk personeel die heel behulpzaam zijn voor de kinderen.

Tevens een goede workout voor de ouders door de steile paadjes🙂!

Ein total schönes Ausflugsziel für Kinder bis 10 Jahren.
Es gibt viel zu entdecken, klasse Spielplätze und die Karussell's und Attraktionen sind wirklich super!
Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, die Toiletten waren sauber.
Man bekommt für den doch geringen Eintrittspreis viel geboten.
Wir kommen sicher wieder!
