Wonderful Christmas town built inside the caves . Lovely winter festive landscapes to enjoy , several shops with festive products , great lighting and many photo spots . Being situated inside the caves , also saves you from harsh cold weather /rain. Wonderful bar /cafe also inside the caves to enjoy a drink or two.

Our visit to Valkenburg Cave Market was a fantastic experience! Our kids had a great time exploring the cave and enjoying the variety of gifts and food available. We purchased our tickets online, as there were no ticket booths on-site. I highly recommend buying tickets in advance to ensure a hassle-free visit.

I would arrange 30 mins before your booked slot as it gets very busy
The caves are huge and because access is controlled by time slots it is never overcrowded.
A wide range of stalls all well priced refreshments and toilets available once inside.
The grotto is great for photos.

It's a real nice Christmas market, in a cave! There was a bar, terras, several snack corners,and it had everywhere those crazy settlements for a photo moment.

A beautiful Christmas Market in one of 2 in the Sandstone Caves absolutely worth the entrance fee of 9€. The temperature is about 11 Degrees Centigrade all year.

Christmas Market, plus you get to see the cave, fantastic idea!!! Was such an amazing experience. I definitely want to come back with my family next year.

We are here for the Christmas market. Very pretty but lots of stuff to buy, less food and few things made by artisans.

Beautiful Christmas market inside white limestone caves with historical significance! I've been to many Christmas market across the globe but this one is quite unique being underground and with murals on walls. There are plenty of shops to get nearly everything you might need, decorations, glass work, lighting, jewelry- and much more! Walking around could easily take you upto 2 hours if you'd like to view the displays and the stores properly. There are toilets and restaurants towards the centre so you'll need to walk a little to get to them. Don't forget to buy your tickets in advance?

I was there for the Christmas market. Nice place and nice stalls there but not much diversity. It was very nice to see the old cave itself as well if you make the stalls disappear from your eyes for a moment. For me, it is a one time see but for others it could be different. I don't think multiple visits would show you anything extra. But for a one-time visit, I definitely recommend it.

One of the 3 old mine working pen to the public for various events. Went for the Christmas Market, absolutely fantastic. Vulkenberg for Christmas is a must, a four day trip was excellent.

There is a beautiful christmas market inside white limestone caves in december! Very unique being underground and with murals on walls. Also, you can go there at any weather condition. There are little shops and food stores, also restrooms and restaurants. You should book a ticket and a time slot in advance. Also, the area around the Christmas market is very pretty during christmas time since there's a lot of decoration. Pretty much gets you in the Christmas vibe.

Very enjoyable interesting cave xmas market

Visited during the day, as soon as they opened for the Christmas market. It was not crowded at all. Lots of different vendors and the price was very affordable. Great place to spend a few hours. The decorations were beautiful too.

This place is nice to visit. We had a guided train tour which was very easy to do with kids and elders. Half an hour tour was very informative but we missed a lot of information as it was in Dutch 😜😅 Overall great experience.

Dress warmly as it is cold in the caves. But very pretty!!! An excursion by special car is possible, but we walked. We had a great time!

It's a man made cave, with a Christmas market inside it... Not much else to ad. It's great, a Christmas market where you are sheltered from the cold and the rain.
