Château St. Gerlach

Beautiful gardens with art sculptures all around. The cafeteria has wonderful desserts and I loved the fresh peppermint tea.

Top place for family or business stay. Stuff is nice and helpful. Excellent restaurant with great wine selection.

Beautiful hotel in a historic chateau. We loved our room which was large and had ample space for our things. We had a renovated bathroom and the waterfall shower was excellent! Breakfast was amazing every day (I would have paid €40 per person for breakfast alone), do not book this property without including breakfast, it is definitely worth it. The spa facilities are world class and a great place to relax. Lastly, the park around the hotel is beautiful, great for an afternoon hike or evening stroll.

A beautiful Chateau in the village of Valkenburg. Wonderful spa, indoor pool, Turkish hot room and steam room. The facilities are 1st class, parking at the rear of the hotel. Rooms are within the main building and apartments opposite. The restaurant is Michelin graded and the breakfast dining also available at the wonderful rear glass house or courtyard seating. Breakfast choices are fantastic, hot fresh cooked menu to Continental style choices including, local fresh honey, hams, cheeses, breads, farmhouse vegetables and juices, coffees and a wide choice of tea. The staff are so friendly, another reason for us to return.

The property is very well maintained, the rooms are spacious and comfortable and spotless.
The breakfast is plentiful with good quality local produce. The staff is very friendly.
We couldn't try the restaurant because it was full. The pool is heated and children are welcome, there is only a time slot for adults from 1 to 4 pm, which I think is fine because we all enjoyed it.
The church is very beautiful and imposing. There are cycle paths and tracks, and the hotel rents out bicycles.
On Easter Sunday and Monday there was an egg hunt and the children were happy and there were other activities.
Very nice stay. I highly recommend it.

We three stay in 2 bedrooms apartment with 2 bathrooms and 3 toilets. 2 bathtubs. The building is classic with many trees and gardens. We like our apartment. Well-equipped. A Dish washer, ironing equipments, amenities, a Coffee machine, plates, utensils, cups and glasses. No washing machine. They provide laundry service.

This hotel is a castle with several buildings. There are a swimming pool, a restaurant, a rose garden and a nature trail.

The service is great. Breakfast is nice. There is a line of buffet with several kinds of bread, ham, cheeses, salad, eggs and drinks. There are eggs and pancakes menu to be ordered from.

The atmosphere is perfect. There is a train station nearby to catch a train to Maastricth (only 10-15 min away). Very convenient.

We really like a walk along the nature trail, very green with a small river.

Five star experience, and ideal for a business retreat or short getaway in Maastricht.

The rooms were spacious and clean, the amenities were generous, the grounds were large and well maintained. Most importantly, the staff were always friendly and willing yo help, which is less common these days and always appreciated when encountered.

The breakfast buffets were also well prepared and the facilities themselves were a calming to walk around.

A jogging trail is available but unfortunately no gym on site. There is a spa and swimming pool available but unfortunately I did not have the opportunity to try those.

Attended a work meeting at the Chateau and had a great experience! The Chateau is tucked in a beautiful pocket of Valkenberg and offered a mix of history and modern. The grounds were gorgeous, the service was amazing, and the food was delicious! I loved the town as well, which was only a couple kilometers away and had a great city center. Whether staying for work or needing a place while sightseeing, this is a great spot.

Of course the place is beautiful and the grounds are spectacular with all the sculptures and outdoor art to look. However what really makes it a nice place is the Staff they are incredibly helpful and friendly Bravo!!!

I absolutely loved my stay at Château St. Gerlach! I enjoyed a 5 night stay with a group. We stayed in the apartments, which gave us all the space to decompress at the end of our long days. The staff was very attentive, patient, and kind. I also enjoyed a hot stone massage before check out and I felt so relaxed before leaving the property.

Exceptional place for relaxing and enjoying country side of Nederland. Chateau gardens are enriched with modern arts, that makes the site different and interesting

It was a very relaxing stay in the hotel! The suite is spacious, clean and quite. The furnishings in the suite bring out lots of memories of the old time charm. The food was exquisite, sophisticated and delicious. The staff had great eyes for details. The garden and surroundings are extensive and peaceful.

What an experience.

We stayed in one of the plush 2 bedroom apartments attached to the hotel. The restaurant is superb if a little expensive. The grounds are full of wonderful art. The only dissapointment was the breakfast which was a rip off. Normally I would have taken off a star for this but the rest was so good I could not justify it.

Great hotel in a beautiful area. The buildings and gardens are gorgeous. On-site there is a spa and swimming pool that we thoroughly enjoyed. In the well kept garden you'll find plenty of sculptures. The rooms are well equipped and in traditional style. At the time we stayed here, there was a bistro that was very good, and a restaurant which was even better.

My wife and I went here for her birthday. The building and the rooms are restored and maintained to a very high standard. The service was pure class and went out of their way to make us as guests feel valued and appreciated. They have various maps for walking routes starting and ending at the hotel grounds. We took one and it was beautiful.

This is the perfect place to spend an idyllic weekend. Everything is perfect. The service is very professional, efficient and very kind. The swimming pool is fantastic as well as the sauna and the Turkish bath. The restaurant is 5 star. I highly recommend this hotel.

Amazing place, they are very kind and respectful. I am muslim and when ı was staying there time was ramadan. I was fasting. Every night they bring my breakfeast (sahur) . I am very thankful
