Bastion Hotel Haarlem Velsen

The hotel is very quiet. Staffs either night shift or morning shift are also nice. I was surprised and appreciated when I asked for stamps (rarely found nowadays) to send some postcards to my beloved back home and the lady at front said that she had! She took a serious look and gave it to me unconditionally and said that she would send it for me. I was full of joys.

Lovely hotel to stay for Haarlem! Staff were so friendly and kind and the breakfast was amazing :) You have a bus around 3 minutes walk from the hotel which takes you to the centre of Haarlem in 15/20 minutes. And from Haarlem zandvort is around 20 mins and amsterdam is also around 20 mins from the centre :) plus some nice nature close by and a windmill :)

Really enjoyed my stay here, the rooms are clean and modern. I like the fact you have pod coffee machine in your room, complimentary bottled water.
When I checked in, I was given two vouchers for, two free drinks in the bar.
The only thing I could moan about, was that the safe in the room was not working, so I didn't want housekeeping in my room, while I wasn't there, due to money, passport and other valuables in my room, as I was only there for two nights, it wasn't a problem.
The staff were friendly and helpful with me and there is a bus every ten minutes to the train station, then fifteen minutes to central Amsterdam.

Good hotel. A real bastion with a moat. during our stay, we blissed out all the time. Everything in the hotel and around it is conducive to creation. There is a McDonald's in the courtyard of the hotel, which makes it possible to have a socially accessible meal at any time.

The only concern was from other guests who were very loud. This happens.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the hotel is accessible and the beds are ok. There is smoking allowed on the ground floor but its avoidable easily enough. The service is good, and the rooms are easily kept warm, room temperature controls are easy to use. Would recommend as a hotel for a conference visit.

It's a little out of haarlem but price reflects that, we had issues with our flight and the guys there are great it was no trouble for them to sort later check in and couldn't have been more helpful. Good quality rooms soft beds and very clean. Offers breakfast however I don't eat in the mornings so can't comment other than looked and smelt good 😁

This hotel is reasonably priced and comfortable for the price you're paying. The rooms are spacious and Wi-Fi is free. The staff were also quite friendly, although, I'm curious as to the amount of personal data they request. We didn't use the restaurant, so I can't give an opinion.

Had to stay in in the Bastion hotel due to travel problems. Thank god i found them and especially Chyvone who obviously is a good manager and has excellent customer service skills. Every little complication i had was solved and my stay eventhough short was a pleasure. Thank you Chyvone

So grate and so nice girl. Chyvone did a greate job, very funny and at the same time professional. She handled eveything in her own. We realy appreciate what she did for us.

Very nice cozy hotel. Rooms are clean and bathroom is very nice 👍 The mattress is very comfy.
