Very nice hotel with a great view, nice rooms and yummy breakfast. The staff ist super friendly and very helpful. The manager helped us with a low car battery and had great patience since it took more than 40 minutes to get our car going again. Definitely coming back!

Nice and quiet place within walking distance of most things, great seaside view, elegant rooms and a great bar with very friendly staff, those you meet elsewhere in the hotel are also friendly and helpful, always asking if you are okay and if theres something you need.

Rooms are elegant, functional (lots of sockets for our gadgets) and the bathrooms are very nice.

They have a very large parking area below and its free, great place to go by if you are driving.

I would definitively come back here again. (Large room with seaside view)

Went on Thanksgiving Day in US, it was so empty and so serene. Great weather and walks at the beach. Breakfast is amazing, much different from US hotels in a good way.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would love to visit that cosy place again.

Perfect location on top of a dune, beautiful view and a perfect bed (I slept 8 hours without waking up). Also the shower was really great, more options including a massage option. Breakfast was like expected. Nothing to complain about

Went to hotel Het Hoge Duin for a sort of lecture from Oersterk about the health conditions of me and some other participants. It was really interesting. The room where we were was a little bit cold but not too cold. We had a lot of room, a lot of different sorts of thee and there was also coffee. The toilets were clean and the food was great.

Great hotel. Lovely outlook over the sea. Easy access to the beach. Bicycle storage garage for our bikes. Restaurant was closed but there was a restaurant open on the beach until 11pm

A really nice hotel with a nice restaurant with a view at the sea. A good place to come back to at the end of the day, have a nice sleep and breakfast and off you go, back to the beach which is at a 5 minute walk.

Will be stating here again. Lovely big room with balcony. Nice friendly staff and very clean hotel and excellent value for money. Free parking is a really nice bonus.

Hotel on an unique location on the top of a dune. Beautifull views over the Northsea. Nice rooms with normal equipment.

The hotel is in my opinion best of all. You have direct access to the beach and from the hotel on a little hill the best sight.

About IJmuiden
City in the Netherlands

IJmuiden is a port city in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is the main town in the municipality of Velsen which lies mainly to the south-east. Including its large sea locks, it straddles the mouth of the North Sea Canal to Amsterdam. To the south it abuts a large reserve of plant-covered dunes, the Zuid-Kennemerland National Park. The city is on the south bank; the north bank is otherwise a steel plant and Velsen-Noord. It is 10 kilometres north northwest of Haarlem which is 18 kilometres due west of Amsterdam. The port is a deepwater port suited to fully laden Panamax ships, and fourth port of the Netherlands. source
