Strandpaviljoen Oost, Vlieland

Went there for dinner. Ambitious kitchen with some room to improve. There seems to be a little routine missing in presenting the courses, and some dishes could use a little bit more refinement. But the service was exceptionally nice and the food was really enjoyable. Even if your not here for food, the scenery and location is well worth a visit. Even more so if you're staying at the 🏕 ground next door.

I am the employee at Oost,i was your waiter this evening and i saw how it was and what happened,so if you say A you can say also B...i never react to review,but today i will.... sir,we have special dinner for our guests...we are the only one in Vlieland. Dinner you have to book online.Why? Because we work with fish and seafood and all is fresh,not frozen or from fryer. This is called quality. So the kitchen know exactly know how many portions prepared.
And sir if you come during the dinner peak when we are busy with arriving guests...and we nice to tell you,sorry we dont have any space for dinner,is not possible and you are 15 min. standing in the middle and dont understant that is not possible have a dinner 🤷‍♂ what we can do...we were very kind and nice...and second part if we have tables and chairs in the teras and you moved all tables and chairs without asking me and you blocked the path to the toilet 🤷‍♂ and i said nice,please you can choose the seat everywhere you want...not in the middle,where are people walking in and out and to the toilet...
Today you show how some guests can be arrogant,without respect and humility.
And you show your character also with this comment...if you wish what you wrote,to someone who dont know,who is working hard all life for his dream. They are the best bosses,friends,they are straight but fair and very good people...
And for what was that??? Because they say Sorry,but NO,it is not possible🤷‍♂

Went out for dinner here, this was one of the best fish restaurants I have been. I would say they deserve a Michelin star( or two). If you go to Vlieland you have to go here!!!

Best place for a party on Vlieland. Book this place through Paal 50 and get ready to party in to the wee hours.

Great view with seabirds. There are sea animals too, in a small lake created by the sea (crabby etc). Its a perfect place for sunset photos!

Friendly staff (practically all from abroad), good service. Prices a bit high but it's an island, this is happening everywhere over here.

Great place to crash down for a drink and food, especially if you've just cycled from one side of the island to the other

Die Lage am sehr weitläufigen Nordost Strand ist einmalig und alleine deswegen schön einen Besuch wert. Das Ambiente ist super mit einem kleinen Außenbereich und Barhockern am Fenster zur Nordsee.
Es ist ein Fischrestaurant und daher hatten wir als Zwischenmahlzeit auch ein Fischbrett bestellt (siehe Foto). Außergewöhnlich mit verschiedenen Sorten und wirklich sehr lecker. Auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert!!

Superlekker om na 4 jaar weer terug te zijn op één van onze favoriete eilanden, Vlieland. Na prachtige tocht vanaf Huizen weer heerlijk lunchen op Oost. Alles op deze plek voelt als een feestje 🥳

Heerlijk gegeten met de hele familie, super mooie locatie aan het strand. De bediening is betrokken en vriendelijk.
Laat je adviseren over de wijnen bij de gerecht. De chef raadt je tevens graag zijn lekkere gerechten aan.

Ook voor een taartje of lunch na een strand wandeling is Strandwandeling Oost zeer geschikt.
