Museum Slager

A small but very beautiful and welcoming museum, the staff are very receptive and attentive. There are paintings and others from three generations of painters from the Slager family. A place of great peace and beauty. At the end of the visit there is a free coffee, the attendant even offered me a typical bread from the region, they are very attentive to the visitor. This museum is really worth seeing.

The museum presents the works of eight artists from three generations of the Slager family. It was really interesting getting to know this talented dutch family through their art. The museum is in the Slager family house, so also, you can immerse yourself in the atmosphere of this family's interiors and look at the original objects and furniture of the family. If you want to take a break they will treat coffee and dutch spice cake for free. (you may leave some tip of course)
Plus they make temporary exhibitions there! It was an amazing experience. Thank you ❤

A tiny museum with excellent paintings and atmosphere.
The volunteers are friendly and helpful.
The museum shows you 3 generations of painters. All love realistic work so you will see portrets, nature, landscapes and flowers.
In the museum there is also place for temporary art of others or other topics.

Entrance: 8 euro, including coffee or tea in a cosy room.
Duration: about one hour, can easily combine with the kathedral next door!!!

If you visit Den Bosch /'s-Hertogenbosch this small museum together with the cathedral is a must!

Must see museum in Den Bosch, one of those hidden gems that are not listed on the top places to visit.
The museum concept is different than other museums and it would be such a pity not to visit.

A small museum with a lot to offer. Really enjoyed my visit. I have to specifically thank the lady at the entrance desk. She made quite an effort to give me more info about the museum, Slager family and other exhibitions at the place. It really made my visit worthwhile

Beautiful collection! This is a very small museum based mostly around the work of a local family of painters active in the late 1800s to early 1900s. Staff are wonderfully friendly and knowledgeable, happy to answer questions in English. The museum is located conveniently almost next to the famous cathedral.

Prachtige klein museum voor realistische kunst, met een fascinerende geschiedenis.
De spectaculaire tentoonstelling Noordelijke Realisten lokte mij naar Den Bosch, en het was de 2.5 uur met de trein waard.
De vrijwilligers waren zeer vriendelijk, en het gratis kopje koffie(dat ik helaas moest weigeren) maakten het af.

Echt een pareltje

Wat een charmant museum in de schaduw van de kathedraal van ´s-Hertogenbosch. Fijne staf die leuk in gesprek gaan met de bezoekers. Kopje koffie op het einde van het bezoek was supergezellig. Leuke babbel rond de tafel met andere bezoekers.

Fantastisch leuk museum over de schildersfamilie Slager. Leuk gesitueerd in hartje Den Bosch. Ook mooi om te verschillende stijlen tussen de familieleden te zien.

Vriendelijk ontvangst ook van de vrijwilligers en leuk afgesloten met een bakje met wat lekkers wat aangeboden wordt door het museum.

Niet al te groot museum met verrassend mooie kunst, knusse sfeer (de koffie staat klaar, met een plakje koek) en heel vriendelijke ontvangst. Regelmatig wisselende exposities maar de eregalerij blijft hangen. Aanrader om vaker te komen.

Pareltje van een museum in hartje Den Bosch. Dankzij de prachtige collectie word je meegenomen langs drie generaties realistische kunstenaars, waaronder vrouwelijke kunstenaars! Zeer attente medewerkers die veel weten van het museum.

Bijzonder museum. Mooie eigen deels wisselende collectie en verrassende tijdelijke exposities. Klein museum maar je bent steeds weer aangenaam verrast door wat je ziet. Vriendelijke gastvrouwen, prachtig gekleurde muren.

Wat een tof museum is dit zeg, echt een aanrader! Prachtige kunst, mooi historisch pand met rijke geschiedenis, echt een bezoek waard. Prettige ontvangst met fijne uitleg over de bijzondere familie Slager.

Den Bosch is sowieso een fijne stad, maar Museum Slager met werken en geschiedenis van drie generaties Bossche kunstschilders is zeker de moeite waard. Eind oktober de expositie van Ans Markus bezocht, een fijn extraatje. Mooi pand met een gemoedelijke sfeer, Brabant-eigen gastvrij door hartelijke vrijwilligers. Kortom, ik heb genoten en het is voor herhaling vatbaar. Misschien al snel voor de lezing Gustav Klimt en tijdgenoten (w.o. van Gogh).

Prima locatie met vooral mooie en realistische schilderijen van Slager en familie. Werden prettig ontvangen en kregen peperkoek en koffie toe. Een prettig verblijf.

Wat een fantastisch klein museum met authentieke schilderijen van de familie Slager uit Den Bosch. Gerund door vrijwilligers Steeds weer mooie wisselexposities: nu de fotograaf Frank van Driel, die stillevens fotografeert alsof het schilderijen zijn.
