The American Book Center

It's as good as an English/American bookstore in the Netherlands gets. Abundantly stocked with a wide variety in both modern and classic fiction and non-fiction and a selection of newspapers, magazines and calendars, this is the kind of store you're unlikely to leave empty-handed. The staff offers written recommendations, which is helpful and has added value. The folks are overall friendly and helpful. Your one stop shop when it comes to books in the English language.

Love this store. It’s calm, they have a lot of stuff and they know their books, and the staff is always friendly (although not always super talkative, but this was during the Thanksgiving period so it was probably a busy time). They even have an in-store dog!! She is the cutest.

Great collection of books in English. Pleasant place to browse and explore. My favourite book store in The Hague, I visit it every time I’m in the city center. Their member card is a good deal, it’s our second year already and it pays off well.

Wonderful book store selling English books. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Selection of books is great. Students and persons working in education/academia enjoy a 10% discount upon showing a valid (student) card.

This is my favorite bookshop in The Netherlands. Up till now I've found every book on my list here. And the place is so cozy!!!

Super nice store with plenty of books. The atmosphere is very nice and makes you want to read. There’s also a small Cafe inside where you can sit and read.

Always an excellent collection of fantasy and sci Fi on offer. And even some roleplay books and a few games.

Great as always. This is the first time at the Den Haag store, but have been to the Amsterdam store when my travel takes me that way.

If you don't want to wait for English written books at regular shops it's always available at American bookstore. Plus they have everything I ever looked for

It’s my favourite book store in the Hague. There’s a wide variety of books and genres apart from other cute accessories. I also appreciate them having a student discount.
If the book that you want is not available, they may order it for you and it will come quite quickly.

Best book store I know. Consistently good, every time.

Good selection of books covering wide array of genre. Even a decent manga and graphic novel section. I noticed a lot of rare edition fantasy books also.
Since moving to the Netherlands in august this store is my goto for books
