I absolutely love this place. The food was great and they have a wonderful vegetarian selection. The prices are very reasonable especially for what you get and the food comes out quickmy. The staff is also very friendly and helpful.

This place is incredible. The food is unique and delicious, and the staff were welcoming and kind. They made great suggestions of what to order based on our preferences, and also offered to warm up our own baby food we got for our toddler.

Amazing, authentic place with delicious food and super friendly staff. The menu was only in Dutch but they readily translated and explained everything. They have meat options, vegetarian and vegan as well. They also had a baby chair which was very useful for us

Satisfying and wholesome! The food was absolutely stunning in this non-descript restaurant off the main thoroughfares of The Hague. The service was wonderful and the gentleman at the counter was a lovely host as well!

I got the roti vegetarian special meal and it was really good! It was very filling, felt pretty healthy, and it was a good price (10€). Only thing is I think it could’ve been a bit more flavorful as my Surinamese family’s food tends to have more flavor. As in they should keep whatever sauce they’re using, since it’s very tasty, but take out some of the water.

Most friendly employees ever and the vegan roti was super tasty!! 10/10 recommend this place!!

Had delicious Surinamese dinner 😋 next to the main square (oude markt) of The Hague.

I took the special vegetarian roti. It contains marinated tempeh and tofu, snake beans, potatoes, pickled cucumber, cabbage, Surinamese bread, hard-boiled egg and chilli sauce.

The hospitality was great; the waitress served with a beautiful smile ☺.

Finally found a good roti place in the Hague. Roti was excellent and there are many vegetarian options. Staff was also friendly and the place is not expensive. Definitely going to come back.

Three years after leaving the Netherlands me and my partner still talk about this place - trying all recipes we can mind on the internet but never meeting the quality and authenticity in flavour and experience as the New Meyva family delivers. We miss you!!!

I've always had the best food (most of the time roti vegatarian, sometimes roti roll) but it was always good. Flavors were on point of the dishes and condiments. And most of all, steadily friendly and calm. It is truly sad they closed, and I hope somebody (friend, family?) will take over eventually. It was always the spot I'd suggest if someone asked where to go to for in The Hague.

Always a pleasure eating here. The staff makes you feel quite welcome and the food is also delicious. We usually order the roti kip wrap but I'm confident everything else is also great. This is our go to surinamese place.

First time eating Surinamese food and it was absolutely delicious. It's a non-fussy casual cafe with friendly staff who explained some of the dishes to us. We got the lamb roti special and chicken nasi special which both were eaten quickly. The portions were decent and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommended!

It was my first time trying food from Suriname, and now I'm definitely a big fan!!! Not only the food is fantastic, but also people are very nice and friendly, so make you feel comfortable there. On top of all that, the location is very good and easy to reach - if you can't go walking, just take the tram to the Grote Markt and you are there.

The portions offered were not only enormous but also delicious.Being with a baby, they offered some mashed food which is quite kind.
Loved their hospitality and would go back again.
