Tasty food and lovely views of nature. Service was very friendly and we got to sit right at the waterside and observe the farm animals. A lovely evening!

Walking in feels like walking into a lovely cosy large living room, the atmosphere is warm and inviting enhanced by the wood burner.
It's located in beautiful nature surroundings next to a traditional Dutch Windmill, enough parking and easy to reach.
The food was great and tasty with friendly servers.
Definitely recommend a visit.

The place is beautiful, with a towering windmill, small water canal with a bridge over it. The staff is carrying and very nice. Waiters notice you quite fast, and depending on how many people are there, the kitchen works quite efficiently. Food is really good, and worth every penny. I'm afraid there is no eanglish menu, but the staff is willing to help, recommend and translate if need be. Overall very pleasent experience.

My father mostly chose this place because of the wide variety of specialty beers and it ended up being the perfect place. The terrace has a nice view on the water and the food was affordable yet very delicious. If you are in the neighborhood, but also if you're not, be sure to drop by here!

Officially it's Bistro de Molen (the Mill) in pitoresque Ankeveen part of Wijdemeren (provence North Holland). The menu is 'traditional' ( with Escoffier aspects) but with contemperary flair 2021! Lots of space inside and outside with covered terrace on the inlet lakeside waterfront leading to the serene 'Ankeveense plassen' Opposite the famous 'Hollandia' windmill (build in 1642) which is also available for events and private parties. When ice hits here in the wintertime it's one of the skating hotspots in the Netherlands.

Very nice surprise menu with fresh ingredients and surprising combinations! Everything is home made, a wide choice of craft beers. Nice location, very good evening

A stunning restaurant with great atmosphere, beautiful surroundings and staff. The food was all locally sourced and absolutely delicious! We came up from Australia and were privileged to be taken here to visit, definitely worth it to experience and enjoy a great meal!

Voor de lunch sowieso een hele leuke plek, maar de diner kaart ziet er ook goed uit! Buiten zit je heerlijk aan het watertje met uitzicht op het kippen en konijnen eilandje! We hebben een zogenaamd “12 uurtje” gedeeld, lekkere tonijnsalade, goed brood, kroketje erbij, heerlijk!

Goed verzorg borden, vers eten, prima accommodatie. Voor lunch/ brunch aan te bevelen

Altijd een prima ontvangst en goede service bij de molen.
Uitgebreide kaart en smakelijke gerechten. Gisteren gesmuld van de hertenbiefstuk met rode kool! Fijne sfeer en onze hond is ook welkom wat makkelijk is na een boswandeling.

Ongelofelijk leuk! altijd gezellig,veel mooier ook als de oude locatie. Het is top en die meiden zijn heel gezellig. Wij zitten er heel graag!.
