Hawker center famous for its chee cheong but this time we got wantan mee and char kway teow. Wantan mee was quite good, the noodles were springy, soft and chewy. The wantans were alright but the sauce was amazing! Flavourful but not overly salty and oily. Char kway teow was also good with some wok hey. Price was very good (4-5RM per portion). Place was a bit cramped and noisy during lunchtime but that's part of the hawker experience. Will come back for the chee cheong fun when it opens!

I am here just to appraise the Kueh Teow Th’ng stall, other than that I would not say much even the Chee Cheong Fun.

This stall of KTT serve instant cook noodle, kueh teow, yellow noodle, maggi, bihun.
A few type of soup base available but I today I would like to review on its milk-base soup. Hardly to get in Penang but I managed to found it here. Very well balanced soup, not too salty nor sweet. You can opt out the black pepper just to have to milk-base soup & taste definately delicious also.

Very kind seller and they can remember which condiments you dont prefer. Big portion with fair price. I notice the seller very meticulous when preparing my serving.

If you the kind that like intestine, they do have it as well and not smelly like others.

My all time favorite. Their Chee cheong fun is to die for, must have whenever in Penang!

Had their char koay teow for the first time. It is pretty well done too. There's option for chicken egg (RM6) or duck egg (RM6.5).

There's still some vacant seats when I came at 9am on a Monday. However, parking is a challenge.

Looking forward to try other stalls!

Curry Mee is awesome and Chee Cheong Fun is still good just standard drop a bit. The Char Hor Fun is bad, like really bad, like disaster bad. The environment is like a typical kopitiam, packed, tight, hot and stuffy. Many food options here but not all are really worthy of authentic Penang hawker food flavor.

One of the best Chee Cheong fun I ever had. Curry mee was good too (portion was about small). One of my go to cafes for breakfast in Penang.

The Chee Cheong Fun is really nice, taste very smooth and delicious. Tried curry mee and kuew tiaw soup as well, also good.
Arrived around 9am, still got vacant tables but it was difficult to find parking. This place is crowded with people because morning market is in front of the kopitiam.

5 star comparing with similarly themed kopitiam experience.
This is the quintessential kopitiam of penang experience. Multiple stalls selling a variety of different food. No repetition of choices. There's everything for nearly everyone. Tables close together. Throng of human beings. Noisy conversation. Hustle and bustle of activities.

As for the food, the Chee cheong fan is a must try. The sauce is unique and something I can't find in most places. Creamy, nutty, enough saltiness with nicely soft steamed main. Looking at the persistent queue bears testament to its deliciousness.
The wan tan mee is also quite delicious. Springy noodles and well seasoned sauce. The soup is a bit bland but that's a not one of the main reasons one ways wan tan mee
The hokkien lor is however just standard taste. Nothing to write about
The char kuay teow is disappointing. Don't order this or ask them to cook it less spicy. I can't taste anything but hot spice. Not enough salt. Not enough of anything else. It's like eating just spice and kuay teow. Very bad

The only bad thing about this place is that multiple stalls are manned by assistants. And the food is not cooked by the original owners. Whether that's a factor that affects the taste is up to up choice I suppose.
Parking is also a huge headache but that's expected.

Curry mee, chee cheong fun, wan tan mee, braised chicken feet from wan tan mee stall is the best!
Fried sar hor fun - very good, got wok hei
Char koay teow - okay only
Hokkien mee & koay teow t’ng tasteless
Kopi peng - bland, no coffee taste
Cham peng is good, stronger taste towards tea

It's a great place to enjoy Chu Cheong Fan, still the best until now for my opinion, and Curry Mee is my second choice.

One of the famous kopitiam in Penang Island. A number of great hawker stalls serve a variety of local foods. And there is morning market outside of the kopitiam.
Do prepare to share table with others as it is always crowded during peak hours.
Parking is NOT easily available, so be patient and prepare to round and round the area in order to park your vehicle.

This neighborhood kopitiam/ hawker Centre has been a long time favorite among locals for decades. A few stalls have changed hands but the popular Chee Cheong Fun is still good. The Muar Chi (something like Mochi) is delicious with the right texture and bite. Parking can be challenging at peak hours though.

This place has one of the best hawker food in the island. The curry mee is superb and of cause the Chee Cheong Fun is excellent. You can’t find better CCF here in Penang island. I’ve been here many times, eaten many things but first time dropping a review. This coffee shop has really above average food. Did I mention the kopi c kosong is also very kao and tasty?

Tried curry mee, too sweet for me, can feel lots of sugar and msg, didn't really drink the broth because of that. Chili paste wise, put 2 big scoops of it and still not spicy enough, also fragrance of the rempah is lacking. It will be delicious for anyone seeking a bowl of very strong flavored penang curry mee, and not particular about the ingredients or extra flavoring added into it. The famous ccf is still good though.

Chee Cheong fun was great . The sauce was tasty. The prawn paste already mixed into the sweet sauce. I can imagine the taste enhanced with some fried onions.
The Char kuay Teow was good too.
I find the curry mee is average .

Best hawkers assemble here. You could come here 3 days in a row and not finish savoring the wide variety of food here. Must go. Chee cheong fun is incredibly good with prawn paste exhibited to the max, and outside there's a food truck with Bak kua sandwich which is FOMG good. Duck porridge is just perfect balance of savory and carby,
