I have my 1st ever Lasik surgery here by Dr Edwin, gorgeous service and care taken by friendly nurse here, explained well with patience. The process is fast, stage 1 took 10s, stage 2 15s for the device in action.

Good service with strongly recommend Dr Edwin Ooi, friendly and cheerful. Have a great experience with my Femto Lasik yesterday and had my eye checking today at Optimax Penang.

Took smile pro with dr edwin here, the surgery was fast and painless, I didn’t feel any pain afterward, just a bit blurry but the day after my vision become clear. Good service from all the staff and very informative, they have good offer for the pre lasik eye examination

My husband done lasik in 2018 and there was no recoccurence of the problem. So me and my sister take up the courage to go for eye check. And surprisingly , the whole checking procedure was so so professional and detail! Which give us a lot of security in doing surgery here. They even explained everything in detail which treatment is suitable for us , and answer all our questions patiently. So we straight decide to do Smile relex in the following week with Dr Edwin. He was so so patient and gentle , and guide us patiently throughout the whole surgery process. And no pain for pre and post surgery. The nurses and staffs were all so friendly and professional. Really highly recommended and now i can see the world clearly without wearing contact lens! Appreciate !

Staff is friendly and attentive.
Nurse helped me to explain how the operation will be done and what I need to do to prep for it.
Doctor is friendly and reassuring.

One minor improvement is the wifi for hospital guest is a bit weak.

Just did the Lasik surgery on both my eyes (Relex Smile) at Optimax Penang. The whole treatment was seemless and easy, and all the staff were really kind and professional. As for the surgery itself, it was painless. The first day was quite uncomfortable but the day after i'm already almost fully recovered. 10/10 would recommend Optimax if you're tired of the glasses/contact lenses ordeal.

Prior to my procedure, many test were carried out to ensure my eyes are suitable for the procedure. In conclusion, I made the right decision to get my lasik done at Optimax.

Imagine waking up without having to reach out for your glasses/contact lenses?! Well, that happened to me this morning and it felt great.

I had my 2 hour assessment last week. The entire staff are so efficient - the receptionist, Amy and the other specialist too… you can tell that all are very experienced. Although it felt long, it was thorough! I never experienced anything like this in the UK. Lots of tests and sound explanations and advice too. By the end of it I finally booked my treatment day. After almost 20 years of wearing contact lenses and glasses, I finally plucked up the courage to have the treatment… and to be quite frank, I don’t know why I waited this long. Yes, the thought of the procedure may sound scary, but it’s actually not that bad at all. It only takes about 16 seconds (on each eye) for the flap to be created and the laser is only 5 seconds - I was shocked as to how fast it all was. I had my Fento LASIK treatment yesterday - Dr Lee Seow Ying and her team were fantastic! So efficient and friendly. Dr Lee also has a soothing voice… she reassures you throughout the entire procedure.
