Superb dining experience! Supervisor Julia was very knowledgeable and friendly. We ordered the sirloin, tenderloin, ribloin and the 7 cut set as they are value for money. Highly recommended! Will return again (:

Super server who took our orders and helped us cook the meat. Explained with detail and had a friendly and cheerful outlook. Decor is lovey and it's all pulled in together with the great team , food, and atmosphere. Totally enjoyed my time there.

Staff Lynn is super helpful and friendly. Loves her energy.. Teaches us how to cook the beef... and lastly the sweet surprise of a cake for our anniversary.. which she only knew thru the conversations we had. Best experience ever here.

Turn over rate is pretty high and we managed to get a table quickly despite it being Valentine’s Day and we didn’t make any reservations.

The food is great, service staff were friendly too! Although they got our order wrong, they rectify it pretty quickly. Our sancho came towards the later part of the meal after we finished up all the beef, but probably everyone was busy and forgot about it 😅 Even so, will definitely be back again for more of the yummy Wagyu beef 😊

This place is definitely a must go. Sashimi is fresh and melt in your mouth wagyu beef slices are delicious. The chefs are friendly and happy to share. We ordered “Testing Course”. The food are plated so beautifully and designed so carefully. Highly recommend, especially if you are celebrating any special occasions.

Service and food were great! Really owned up to the hype. Special shoutout to Lynn for going out of her way to teach us and guide us how to properly cook the meat and tips on what sauces best enhance the flavour! So happy to have spent valentine’s day here!

Went there for the 3rd time, and this time was for our anniversary dinner. We were pleasantly surprised by how Chef Aaron cooked for us and showed us the different flavours of the beef. He was very knowledgeable and the beef he cooked for us were simple yet amazing (especially with the wasabi, a must try)🤩 I could say that this was one of our most memorable meal experience.
Overall, I will definitely comeback here again as Awagyu beef is surely of a high quality with really reasonable price too!!
Their staffs were also helpful even if you were to cook the meat on your own ☺

cuts were well marbled and fresh. we were served by thaw, excellent service and very sincere. cooked the meats to a perfect medium rare for us.

Brought my friend to celebrate her birthday.

The Wagyu beef here is solid. When I googled about Wagyu in JB only 2 shops came up the most. Awagyu and the Wagyu Tavern. But Awagyu came highly recommended and so I decided to come here and it was a great decision.

Since I can eat quite a bit we ordered the Whole Wagyu Platter (for 5 to 6 people) that comes with 1KG of meat its priced at RM788 (approximately SGD 260ish after GST) and is served up on a wooden board with the outline of the cow (see pics) and the different cuts of meat are placed according to which part of the cow they were taken from.

The display is impressive and would highly recommend for people who want to take pictures and videos for your instagram.

1kg may not sound like much but towards the end I was struggling to finish up the meat and eventually we took away some of it as it was just a lot of food.

They also have a variety of sauces that were excellent with the meat.

My friend who also tried Wagyu Tavern told me the quality of the meat here is better and I trust her review. In terms of pricing its also a lot more affordable as Wagyu Tavern charges about SGD200 per person but here I only pay SGD260 for 2 people and our bellies were satisfied and already exploding.

They also will give you an FOC cake if you are celebrating a birthday FYI. You will need to request for it. It is a brownie with vanilla ice cream.

They also gave me a RM50 coupon for a return visit within 3 months. If you spend RM400 and above you can use it to offset your bill.

If you have bigger groups they do have more private tatami rooms available but it is subject to availability so perhaps make a reservation if you have more than 4 people in your group.

In terms of location I would suggest taking a grab/driving here. It is quite near to the checkpoint about 5 - 10 mins away by car. There is also ample parking outside the restaurant.

Overall highly recommend this place and will definitely be back.

Came here for our anniversary meal, the yakiniku premium platter did not disappoint. The platter came looking so ethereal 😍 We also ordered mentaiko scallops, ribloin wagyu steak and yuzu sorbet. Everything we tried was delicious, portions are good too. Kimchi deserves honorary mention.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Awagyu Restaurant, and I was absolutely blown away. The food was incredible - I had the wagyu beef steak, and it was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was also very nice - the restaurant is decorated in a modern style, and it has a great view of the city. The service was excellent - our waiter was very attentive and helpful. I would definitely recommend Awagyu Restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience in Johor Bahru.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Awagyu. The wagyu beef was the best we ever had anywhere. Aaron literally cooked the meal for us and gave us the beginner's course on the different cuts of beef. We also picked a wonderful bottle of sake with his help. It was a wonderful dining experience at a very reasonable price.

You must make a reservation here or else you would have no chance to eat at this place. We made a reservation but we still had to wait quite a while for our table. Restaurant was quite packed. However, the waitress helped to take our order beforehand and our food arrived promptly after our table was ready.

Randeep asked us if we needed a demo for cooking. Initially we thought she will demo just 1 or 2 meat but she ended up cooking all our meat for us! We were very happy with the service she gave us. She cooked all the meat parts perfectly to a medium sear (we bought the mix platter) and even told us which part would taste good with which sauce etc. all the meat she cooked for us melted in out mouth. It was really delicious! She then recommended to get tenderloin because it is soft and juicy so we went with her suggestion and NO REGRETSSSS.

My husband and I agreed that it is one of the best dining experiences that we had (food & service was exceptional all thanks to Randeep for helping us cook our meat). Randeep even shared with us some of her knowledge about the different wagyu parts, how to cook them properly etc. it was really interesting.

Restaurant is very beautiful and Randeep was so kind to help us cook our meat she carefully explain all the different kinds of meat and even arranged a wedding anniversary cake for my parents. She speaks good English as well so there was no communication barrier. I will definitely be back again to this place if I have a special occassion to celebrate

THE BEST EXPERIENCE TONIGHT! This is our 2nd time eat here and the best experience because the Manager , Aaron helps us and guiding us on how to cook wagyu. Price reasonable and so much side dishes. Will definitely come again!

Buttery and juicy wagyu that melts in your mouth! It was nice to have different cuts of meat available in the Premium Yakiniku Combo Set (8-kind Premium Platter) as some are leaner and some juicier, so you get to try a variety. I liked that they labelled the cuts in the platter. The Combo Set was a good combination of meats, vegetables and sides. Attentive service staff that offered to demonstrate the grilling for us and were proactive in refilling our drinks. We enjoyed the experience and will be back!

First time there and definitely not the last. So so good and fresh and delicious. Definitely did not disappoint! The damage for 4 pax was just below sgd 250. Considering the quality of wagyu, service and location, it’s worth the price. We kept reordering because we couldn’t get enough of the meat.
