Family with kids will love the Play+ theatre. The Play+ venue has an external indoor play area that include several play areas for kids of various ages and a small library. Floor and walls are cushioned for safety of the children. The theatre is quite spacious and provides comfortable seating of various variety for different family sizes who wants to sit together. Within the theatre is a large slide and a ball pit for little tikes who cannot focus on the movie. The movie plays at a softer volume that’s child friendly.

Had a chance to catch a movie at GSC Mid Valley Southkey and it was a pretty decent experience. The location is convenient and the cinema has a good selection of movies. The seats were comfortable and the sound quality was great, which made for an enjoyable viewing. However, the cleanliness could be improved as I noticed some areas needing attention. Overall, a good spot for movie enthusiasts looking for the latest flicks. Would be great to see some enhancements in the maintenance for an even better movie-going experience next time.

very clean, comfortable, and many facilities available, suitable for bringing children. child friendly The hall is not too dark, the outside has a reading and playing area, but don't forget to bring socks before entering here parents still need to watch their children play. but I am very satisfied. because there is no need to feel very guilty if my child talk / asks loudly, because there are many child make noise playing on the slide HAHAHA . good experience in my life . thankyou for provide this facility! my daughter so enjoy !

Wow, very spacious movie theatre with many halls. Exceptional service (the play+ hall is very thoughtful, had a lot of children come to watch Wish by Disney and the play+ hall caters to kids as it is very child friendly, with play areas and all) my only comment would be for the price, but I’d assume they’re all fixed. Popcorn wise, caramel is very good, large chunks of sweet bites. Pretty sure serving size is based on the employee, person didn’t really fill the box fully but that’s alright.

I have to say,this mall is super big,you can find absolutely anything here,but yeah,it is too big to walk around and I can visit all the shops in one time

So lucky to have this 5-6 stars cinema within few KMs. Online ticketing is normal for everyone now but I am really amazed with their services.
I was at the iMax theater and the whole experience was fantastic. Although the lights nearest to the screen were not turned off at the beginning, and I made the effort to inform the staff, they were apologetic and immediately got it turned off.
The seats are clean and comfortable, plus just nicely space out to the next. Also inside the theater, it’s not too cold like the North Pole.
I do not think anyone could miss their theaters because they are all obviously numbered.
I have tried their 4D theater too, also impressively constructed. Well informed with amble of signs.
Toilets are clean and plenty.

Play+. kids & baby friendly. There is a baby changing room as well as kids toilet. Only issue is only allowed entry into the playarea 10mins before showtime.

tried their play+ hall for the first time. it was so spacious and nice! i had a great experience. will visit again! wear socks or else you’ll need to buy it. snack is my fav nuggets from them — the curry sauce tasted weird🤣

The aircond is freezingly cold!!! Bring along a jacket for movie!!!

Watching John Wick Chapter 4 at GSC IMAX theatre was really a mind blowing total immersive experience.
The heart-pounding surround sound system made you felt like you’re part of the action that happened everywhere of you.
Absolutely an impressive experience that no other cinema format can rival.

I was there for The Goldfinger show and left my spec on the seat . I went there the next day and Jason assisted me to locate it without hesitation. He needs to be praised for his outstanding service . Good job Jason !

Why 5–star? Cause it’s a special experience for me. First time to GSC Mid Valley Southkey, main reason being we wanna watch Dr Strange and suitable timing is this and the hall was PLAY+
Little did I know what I have gotten us into at the point of time when I was buying tickets online. Just thought the name is nice should be some special seats etc, well it is special with kids couches 🤣🤣
Queue at food counter was long and yes a bit of waiting time, our movie was like 10++ at night so our waiting time was less than 30-min which is fast as compared to others. Probably best if you reach like 1-hour earlier if you prefer to enter hall earlier like me.
When we were shown to the Play + theatre downstairs, we saw like those indoor playground type. Then the lady staff asked to see the ticket and asked if we brought our socks. Definitely my first time wearing not shoes slippers but socks in cinema outside. All patrons have to leave their shoes in the rack and change into socks. We bought on the spot at RM 3 per pair with decent quality tbh.
When we entered the theatre, here’s comes the surprise. Big slide with a bubble ball pen, tiny couches, little chairs, rocking chair animal, larger couches and normal cinema single seater. Then I know why the last two rows was available (usually is last rows sold out first), cause last two rows are normal cinema seats for people like us haha.
Throughout the two hours, I witnessed how kids can play and run continuously non stop; watched a movie in a non-lights-out setting coupled with background sound of kids shouting and talking.
Movie is nice, it’s Dr Strange.
Overall a special experience, you can try it if you’re alright with the noise and bright movie settings.

Excellent cinema. Excellent seats, excellent sound, excellent screen. RM14 for a ticket, can’t go wrong. Much much much better than the cinema experience across the border.

One of two best cinema in town ,the other one should be toppen tgv . Great experience,luxury and comfortable place ,I love IMax ,the only bad things is the price I’d slightly higher then toppen tgv .

Love the play plus! We hv been coming here again & again . N we hope that the play+ will be maintained .
I was shocked, however, during the end of the movie, when the staff were cleaning up & she threw multiple small seats down the stairs. On one occasion, it hit my daughter.

Worst, that explains why some of the chairs were ripped off & torn.

Sad to see the wonderful play plus being treated that way by the staff. We are really hopeful the cinema can be maintained for the years to come so we can come again.

We watched paw patrol at 9pm on 30 sept 2023.

Service was awesome, been here twice on separate occasion. Once was for a standard hall, and this time I bought tickets for Play+. The lounge and hall are really family-friendly as promised, and my little siblings really enjoyed their time here. The bathroom was made for kids, so it was very easy and nice too. Overall, a great experience.

Watched Spiderman: Across the Spider-Verse in IMAX theatre. The seats felt premium and sound system was good. Air conditioning wasn't too cold unlike most cinemas in JB. Didn't have to use the jacket that I brought. There was no unpleasant smell. Place felt clean when we entered. Sat at row D at the centre of the screen. Felt that we should have chose 1 or 2 rows higher. Overall, it's a good experience.

I go here often only for one reason - IMAX. This is the largest screen in southern peninsula along with the deteriorated Tebrau IMAX

But GSC is still noob in IMAX format, I hope they wud spend some money to add dual laser projection & change to 1.43:1 screen size. Screen is obviously small compared to Sunway Velocity.

1st time trying out the IMAX at this outlet. Really awesome place to watch a great movie "Black Adam".Highly recommended and would like to try the 4dx next time.
