We were directed here from Kubah National Park when the trail we wanted to do was closed (waterfall, apparently there has been a landslide).
The walk is pretty easy. The first 50m is steep but after that it is no problem, it goes up with a very low and comfortable gradient (and I'm not a hill fan!) There a few short bursts where it gets steep as you go round a corner but honestly nothing too strenuous. There are signs on the way with information about the flora plus distance markers. It is 3km to the temple, doable within an hour.
The temple is very old, and a nice rest stop.
The car park costs RM5, everything else is donation only. All in all a pleasant walk.

Great place for a free and easy hike. Carpark is well managed by the Kampung folks, just pay a small fee and hike up to the temple.

Very clean and filled with positive Vibe all over the place. According to the priest, every Sunday there will be prayers where many Indians from Kuching will be here and special food to be served later after the prayers.

Powerful Hinduism temple Sarawak, Malaysia

An easy trail for beginners, with slight uphill slope but is manageable for both adults and kids. Parking is at Rm5 & the entire walkway is a tarred road up to the temple.

Majority of the hike is sheltered by trees, so it wouldn’t be scorching hot. However pls note to be careful while hiking as cars do pass by the same route, hence be vigilant and let the cars go before resuming uphill for your own safety.

The hike is approximately 40min - 1 hour each way (subject to individual speed & stamina).
