I did not know this place existed. Do drop by here and visit the museum.

There's a small cafe at the back selling nice coffee and cekodok.

Beside this place is a small resort where you can hold weddings.

Eventhough lot of tourist visit this palace.. but it is still give us good vibe during visit..
Really love the minangkabau architecture full of art..
There is 'kedai kopi' outside the palace, but take a long q for a cup of water..

Very old palace. Was official residence of the Yang DiPertuan Besar Negeri Sembilan. But is now replaced by a newer more modern palace a few hundred metres away. This old palace has been turned into a Royal Museum. You need to climb five steep flights of stairs to get to the 4th floor. Quite heady on the climb up. Nice view though.

Best and unique old royal palace, but inside of building is currently closed for restoration from 1st August 2023. I will revisit this Muzeum in the near future. No admission fee to enter this place.

If you are a history buff, this is a great place to go. Admission is free, there are plenty of parking spaces, and the museum is open to the public from Monday to Sunday, all day long. The toilet was clean

This is my 3rd time visit this place. Nice place for dining or know about Negeri Sembilan history. Got resort beside Seri Menanti Museum. Went here for ERAT Ride organize by EAIC.

This is one hidden gems when u come to this area. There is even a hidden cafe at this place . Very clean and well persevere .

Really nice architecture. This building consists of 4 floors that has to be climbed by stairs. The view from the top is amazing. Do take note that the steps can be quite steep, so I wouldn't recommend wearing socks while climbing up or down the stairs.

Free entrance to this royal museum. The early wooden palace is unique as it's built without any nails.

First of all, I would like to compliment the architecture of Minangkabau, especially the ones in N.Sembilan. I love to drive around the countryside of N.Sembilan, and in many occasions, I would stop to take pictures of the unique houses around the area. The Istana Seri Menanti is an excellent visit because it allows you to experience in real life the feeling of living in such a house. The museum ground also features a smaller house at the site. After all, the Istana is a palace. Ordinary people will not own such a large house. Therefore, the smaller place beside the Istana gives you a good sample to experience living in such a beautiful design. However, it would be great to see better preservation done on the Istana. Some of the roofing areas are severely aged. Some lighting might improve some of the darker corners. Also, if an illustration is drawn for explaining the different usage and functions of each room, it will significantly enhance the experience. I hope one day, some developer will develop houses like this in a new "Taman" setting. I don't mind living in one.

This is a great place to visit, historical place located in very peaceful Royal Town, Seri Menanti. This old palace now turn to Royal museum, 100% made from woods and timber and no nail are using to build this palace even a single nail. Only a few part of this huge palace open to public while the others part is still on renovations and the entrance are free. The best way to get to this place is by your own transport, no public transport available to this place.

A very unique place to hang out for those who love history. More can be done eg. historical events/info can be added to enhance tourists to this place.
Kudos to the cafeteria as well.

Came here on weekend to avoid the Tanjung Ipoh traffic 😂 just stopping by to see here and there overall is a good experience to know about Minangkabau History in Negeri Sembilan

Went there with my friend during Keputeraan Yamtuan last month. Had a really great great time there due to the festival.

The palace itself is so magnificent. There’s an exhibition in the palace. We were able to climb up to the forth level and the view from there was wow so beautiful. Be careful of the steep stairs. Just follow the precautions written there. They also provide traditional clothes to be tried on with minimum surcharges. Souvenir shop also available and open. Surrounding area was breathtaking. This place also had other small palace worth going.

Noted that there’s no entrance fee when we visited. Maybe due to the Keputeraan, but better ask the person in charge there.

This is a lovely place to spend a Sunday morning visiting and learning a little history of Negri Sembilan. The journey there also passes some beautiful scenery on the way, if you use the old road.

Good place for locals history...nice building and craftmamship of the older generation of ours.

Although it is rundown and lack of any beautification project but the palace is beautiful and authentic.kinda wish more colourful trees or flowers surrounding the palace. Maybe any water feature or fountains?Toilet is clean.parking is enough off season. Nearby got small lake, hotel and im guessing royal tomb?

The signature kopi is called Kopi Buyau. Can dine in Kopi Buyau Cafe
