I"ve been to CVR a number of times since the years I worked with the proprietor at his consultancy firm in Shah Alam. My wife and I thought of having a quiet dinner there but had a surprise when the proprietor himself was sitting at one of the tables and invited us to join him. So my review may be a bit biased.

The place : Pengkalan Datu riverfrontage. Jalan Raja Sakti, Kota Bharu.

Besides the Floating Restaurant, CVR as the name suggests has many accommodation units including the trendy container-cabins. There is also a weekly Floating Market not unlike the world-famous one in Southern Thailand. Some water sports is also offered at this outlet. From the buntings and banners adorning the place, Sungai Pengkalan Datu holds a place in the history of Kelantan. But I will let you discover that yourselves when you are in Kota Bharu.
