Tanjung Ketapang, Muar, Johor.

Understated but fabulous park area with stupendous views across the river to the beautiful architecture. Recommend the boardwalk through the mangroves. It is obvious that a lot of time and no doubt money was put into this area and is very well thought out and proudly shows the best of Muar off.

It’s a mangrove forest walkway & recreation spot in Muar town. Love how the place is taken in good care, very clean & neat. Nice place to go. Recommend to go during low tide normally in the evening so that you can see the mangrove roots

A lovely place for recreation. Excellent location for exercise in the early morning; either running, cycling or using park outdoor exercise equipment. Wonderful place to bring family. Calms the mind with lovely sea breeze. On a good day, you would be rewarded with an epic sunset to end it. Tanjung Ketapang boundered by mangrove on southern stretch with golf course in the centre.

Best come early morning to enjoy fresh air and stunning view

Tanjung Ketapang and Tanjung Emas are gems in Muar. As fondly called the “new tanjung” and “old tanjung” respectively by local Muarians, we are blessed with such beautiful recreational parks for morning/evening exercises, family fun and activity/event space.

Tanjung Ketapang is touted to have one of the best sunsets in the area but you need to have luck to see the best of the best. Muarians often joke that when you see a possibly great sunset when driving along Jalan Bakri, you will probably miss it when you arrive at the tanjung 😅

Upgrading works have been going on in the past few years. The walking pavements, cleanliness, playgrounds, event square, hawker cente, etc are now among the best in the country, living up to the standards of the Cleanest City in SEA and the Royal Town of Johor.

The bakau walkway is a magnificent add to the Tanjung Ketapang. Very relaxing walk on the wooden walkway extending to the sea. Users get to see the sea creatures, monkeys, lizards and the mangroves nature, and be rewarded with the majestic view of the muara (river mouth).

Highly recommended for all tourists to make a trip to the Tanjungs when you visit my lovely hometown of MUO!

Nice jogging track and seaside view . Swamp walk

Great place to workout outdoors. Cardio like jogging or bicycling, also got outdoor bodyweight equipments and varieties of bars.
Great view as well.
There's monkeys around. Not that wild, but not that tame either. If you have snacks, be more vigilant. Otherwise they would mind their own business.

Great place for a jog/cycle. And as of today, its been open. However i noticed guards to check if you're fully vaccinated

You can find many wild animals here... early morning sea freez is rejuvenating

A park well preserved and well used by the people. This is my childhood and as much as you may hate monkeys, they're apart of the beautiful nature, together with some storks. This is also a spot for magnificent sunset viewing. It has a 2km road for jogging and cycling encircling a golf course by the swampy side of Muar River estuary (muara). Along the river side, there are plenty of those exercise machines, still functional. At the jungle end, is a playground, tennis and multipurpose courts and public toilets.

Visit the swamp area. Plenty of swamp trees and monkeys.

Very unfortunate b4 covid19 regularly closed, despite spending million on regularly upgrading the facilities, not to mention covid19 era. What a shame. Used to be a place of happening. Missed the moments there. Guess C19 now only for VVIPs.

Nice quiet river mouth walk beside a golf club. Also a spot to watch sunset.
