Muarar 99 Hotel

Thh location of this hotel is brilliant. It's just nearby a variety of famous food in Muar & a walking distance to the Muar Bridge, Bus Terminal, Muar Riverfront and Maharani Uptown. The hotel has an ample parking space at the basement, so you not need to worry about that. The room price is affordable for a budget traveller with a exceptional TV connection.

Bus station, food market, 7 Eleven, restaurant, the famous kopi 434, dobi - all within walking distance. Still lazy to go outside? The hotel sells snacks, drinks, biscuits or even toys to make sure you are provided with basic necessities. Totally recommended!

Small old hotel with good location, nearby food courts but at night very noisy. Suitable for a couple.

The first impression when I came into the hotel was it was rather old with visible wear and tear and relatively old furniture and awkward reception. I also perceived the hotel will be noisy being located along a busy main road.
But despite my early perception, the hotel has the following positve features;
1. The room is sufficiently big and clean with enough furnishings
2. Aircon is well maintained and runs well
3. The bathroom/toilet is of acceptable standard with good water pressure and equipped with hot water
4. No smell especially from smoking
5. Lift works well
6. I stayed on the 6th floor. Noise from cars and motobikes could be heard but not annoying or disturbing. The noise from the birds living in nearby rooftops are greater but only up to around 10.00 pm (this may be a negative for some)
7. The receptionist during my stay was polite and very helpful, a "sunshine" for the the hotel industry.
The only setback was the limited parking, as my car being a 4x4 could not be parked in the basement. Anyway, the polite and helpful receptionist allowed me to park by the side infront of the hotel.
Overall, for the star rating and price of the hotel, my wife and I were happy with our stay at the hotel and gave it our full approval with a rating of 5 stars.
Actually we intended to stay at the Muar Traders hotel but decided to stay here as the Muar Traders hotel was fully booked. No regrets.

The tallest building you'll see upon reaching the bridge. Parking are by the sides of the building and there's even a basement parking, a tad narrow if you ask me. There is small cafe for breakfast. Receptionist and room service are friendly and obliging. The rooms are clean and well kept. There are rooms with and without windows, so do enquire before checking in. They do not have fridge in their rooms though and no lifts from basement parking to lobby. So stair lover, rejoice. They accept payments via debit and e-wallet services. Overall a good stay. close proximity to popular eateries.

My husband and i, we went to this hotel since it is located in the middle of muar town...we arrived quite late at night, and the reception greet us with a smile... we book the normal room which cost us RM 78 per night...the hotel look quite old, but what i like about the hotel is at the lobby of the hotel, they have put a small display of historical item which i think would a attract history lover...we went up to our room, it was quite big, but the furniture is quite old but it is well kept... except for the television...but since we seldom watch tv so it is not that important to us...we end up staying another night because we like it that much...thinking about switching to other hotel, but since Muarar 99 hotel price is very reasonable, we stayed longer...all in all, great hospitality great location and really value for money...

It's clean and location is strategic. Friendly staff and spacious rooms. Historical information are readily available via murals and books at the lobby. Been there twice and would definitely go there again 😊

good place to hang , rest , very friendly worker , good servicd by delivering our bags untill in our room , cold airconditioning , functioning water heater and easy access to parking , overall good place to rest

old hotel.. but.. the condition is quite decent.. cool airconditioner, clean bathroom and complete ammenities for guess..
