World class medical facilities from this teaching hospital under Universiti Malaya, this hospital is currently undergoing a massive makeover to bring the facilities up to date with the 21st century and beyond. They have a very established research facility into geriatric and aging within.

My favourite hospital, considering that this is one of the best government hospitals in the country. Formally known as University Hospital, it's now called UMMC and has expanded a lot from those days.

The only setback is that you need to wait your turn, and that could take some time. But since we are always waiting in traffic jams, there is no difference here. This is still an awesome hospital!

Brought my son first time here due to emergency condition. Surprised to learn that UMMC had an Emergency Pediatric Department for children, making it unique from other hospitals.

Parking was convenient, just behind the Emergency Department. Ample spaces and charges were reasonable at RM2 per hour all days.

The cafe and canteen at the first floor were clean and provided a variety of food, including fruits and snack. Reasonably tasty with fair prices. Comparatively better than many other government hospitals.

Nurses and doctors were friendly, patient to children, and fast to react. They completed the urine test, ultrasound and X-ray for my son efficiently. The doctors gave and explained the prescription in details and in timely manner.

Generally a pleasant experience and beyond what you would have expected of a Government hospital. The hospital is actually quite old already but very well maintained and under constant refurbishment. From personal observation, it has updated and advanced facilities and medical equipment that you can find in private hospitals also but you pay much lesser costs.

Very affordable medical care for the Rakyat by competent and skilled doctors and nurses.

Despite the occasional long queues and waiting time, the staff are very patient, polite and efficient.

THANK YOU University Malaya Medical Centre (PPUM).❤

It is one of the best hospitals in the country. As of now, they try to change certain systems... some works, and most don't. Be prepared to walk... as information centres are general and not specific.

Never been to other government hospitals but this one I can say is much better than some private hospitals. Brought my grandma to Otorhinolaryngonology Department, met Dr Sakinah, the specialist there, she's so great, she explained so well, very good in what's she's doing and really attend to us. We then being referred to Oncology Department, from the admin to the attending Doc, all were excellent too! Everything are so clean including the toilets. Comfortable seating areas too. Well done UMMC!

All matters and affairs in this Medical Center are very satisfying. Very happy and thankful to get treatment here.

Except for the young Auxiliary Police members who were found to be very rude, rude, arrogant. This is embarrassing as well as giving a hasty face.
Please teach them to respect slow -moving patients and the elderly.

Dr Rubandra Kumaar from Gynaecology department is very attentive and radiates kindness. Felt heard and very well taken care off by him during my recent hospitalization & clinic appointment at the hospital. Cannot thank him enough for his care and attention. Wish all attending physicians were like him.

We have a very pleasant experience in PPUM and was given very good treatment under Prof Kwan's team ( Spine). They are really kind to patient and family members. They deserve 5 stars rating for their professionalism and team works. Not forgetting Prof Saw's team from orthopedic too. A big SALUTE to all the Professors , doctors and nurses from 8PA. Thanks a lot.

Still one of the leading teaching and research based hospitals in Malaysia. With recent changes within the government, some of neglected facilities within this institution have received a long needed upgrade to match the modern hospital requirements for patients' needs. Most of the best doctors within the country are based here where they teach and run research in accordance to their areas of expertise.

First visit on 12 Nov 18 to follow up on a general blood screen in another hospital. Very impressed with the services (<2hr door-to-door), DrFoo and nurses who took my blood. The personnels deserve due credits, esp after having so negative comments here.

Personally, one o d best govt hosp in d country. Sent my wife for treatment and later hysterectomy and now recuperating at home. Kudos to all staff especially the Drs n nurses, very proficient in their duty and always polite and smile a lot, even tho it’s sometimes towards the end o their shift. Helps a lot espc de-stresses a patient n visitors alike.
Only issue is parking, hard to get espc at peak hours.

Actually very disciplined and very good doctors n staffs. Few things that needed to be changed.. Especially pharmacies are more than five but we have to look for it.
Adoi, no proper sign board and have to walk up and down finally couldn't get that medicine and have to try at all pharmacies... Walking all around and it's too far away from one to another... Last minute staff will call us to get the things and happened few times ... Really suffered especially at our age.... This has to be changed.. Otherwise very good

Dr Mugilan Chandran from the sports clinic is a pleasant and a caring doctor. He diagnosed my knees with much enthusiasm to determine the cause of the pain. My experience in the clinic is very positive. The staff in RUKA and the sports clinic are trying their best to assist all the patients. Keep it up UMMC.

PPUM is more systematic and they manage their patients very well. Their pharmacy is the best. Patients are given electronic numbers by their respective doctors and you just have to wait a maximum of 20 minutes before you're called to collect your medicine. The worst is Selayang, Serdang and Klang you have to wait 3 hours sometimes just to collect your medicine.
