Casa Chica | Bar

This is an Italian restaurant with a Yucatan flair.. From the outside and when we were seating inside it had the feel of a 20-something bar (pub food, strong sweet drinks, loud music, basic table service). BUT WAIT! I ordered the chicken pasta with pesto sauce; outstanding. Pizza was very good also. Negroni's were as good as most in Italy. Waiter was very attentive and played along w our gringo spanish. Music was a loud but we could still talk. Locals were coming in as we left.

We needed a break from the intense afternoon heat and Casa Chica was a perfect oasis.

The place wasn't too busy in the late afternoon so we were able to pick a seat right by a huge fan.

We both ordered from the "Spritz" menu, in an effort to cool off and the 200ml drinks hit the spot.

My partner and I both ordered a burger. Hers was the portobello, and mine was the beef. Both very tasty and not too heavy. We really liked the (perfectly) lightly toasted house-made buns, and the potato wedges were tasty too.

The staff was very excellent and patient with our limited Spanish.

The only word of watching is to expect above average prices (but that's also the neighborhood).

As a lunch place to beat the heat, Casa Chica is great!

Loved the vibe of Casa Chica. It felt kind of “fresa” but it wasn’t super expensive. We got pizza’s for $90 MXN and $130 MXN. Service was great and the pizza’s were delicious.

Perfect for a relaxing afternoon apperitivo.

They have a nice selection of apperitivs, the coffee is good. They offer a selection of plant milks for vegans (almond, soy).

There is a great indoor space that gets you away from th traffic and noise of Montejo Boulevard.

Great cocktails, decent food, great atmosphere for drinks with friends or even a date. Staff is very attentive.

The burger was absolutely perfection... Chipotle aioli, guacamole, bun to meat ratio... Gouda cheese... Wow

I’ve been here a few times and it’s been a beautiful space to work and have a cocktail.

Food exceeds expectations, creative and fresh for the price. Lots of vegetable options, grilled veg with mushrooms and sprouts, salads with colorful baby greens, etc. No AC, powerful well-placed fans drive away hot air as well as any insects. Nice full bar with local beer, too.

We had great service, lovely drinks and yummy food! I kept it simple and had grilled veggies and they were perfect. It was a quick stop to eat and rest before continuing with the day, but it was very nice.

Loved the breakfast we had there on a busy Sunday morning. The waiter was friendly, fresh fruit plate, tasty chilaquiles verdes with perfect grilled chicken, nice atmosphere and reasonable prices.

They're very good. I would suggest to them to be more flexible about their rules about not serving breakfasts in the afternoon or at night, but otherwise there quite good. If you're reading this, your restaurant is great except for that only thing

I went to casa chica on a Tuesday, mid-morning. There were very few customers. The service was attentive. The food was great. It's a great place to sit and have a leisurely meal

Good menu, excellent service, wonderful chicken curry, the eggs benedict are superb as is the club sandwich which is huge! UNFORTUNATELY...BRUNCH ONLY ON SATURDAY & SUNDAY...Rest of week 6.00pm-3.00am

Eggs topped with delicious mole...are you kidding? It was a delightful start on my birthday. Best Huevos Motulenos we've had so far, and the pan dulce tasted homemade and fresh. Dog friendly with lots if fans to help keep you from melting. Right on Paseo de Montejo, great for people watching. Irving was an attentive and friendly server.

Great place to grab a bite and enjoy the outdoors. We had dinner there and we were all very satisfied with the food, thw drinks were great as well - try their Rosa de Guadalupe with mezcal! Delicious&fresh cocktail, not on the menu though ;) their staff was friendly and helpful.
