A relaxing walk. There are four blocks; the first block is a children's park, the second is a fountain, the 3rd is a library, and the 4th is an amphitheater. The evenings (especially near the weekend) fill up with local vendors of corn, tacos, tortas, marquesitas, and ice cream. a relaxing historical park that is a part of the Garcia Gineres neighborhood since the early 1940's

This is a must see place, everything about this place is amazing. I came and visit this place with my family that were in town visiting and let me tell you it was amazing. We stopped here by mistake we were looking someplace to get some marquesitas that is a tipical desert dish down here and we found the best marquesitas of the whole Mérida and let me tell you we had our fair share of marquesitas.
The architecture here is incredible the light put a nice touch on the sculptures here and it's a very social place to come and chill and relax with friends and family.

This is one of the most beautiful parks in Merida. It is in four sections based on activities. One section has the huge Maya monolith and water feature where you can recognize the face of the rain god Chaac and the serpent god Kulkulkan. Then catty corner across the street there is the section with am acoustic shell for open air theatre and a lovely long esplanade. Then there is the section with the library and cultural central in the shape of a Mayan hut. On either side of the door are carvings of a deer and of a pheasant. There's a large area for relaxing. The day we went a bride and groom were posing for their photographer. Throughout the park there are monoliths each inscribed with a name of 1 of the countries of the America's. Finally, there is a section of the park for playing sports and/or exercising. There are food carts to grab some street food, a tienda to grab a drink, and washrooms. Across the street is a church with many beautiful stained glass windows.

Beautiful place to see the culture of Mérida. Not very crowded most times and we got great pictures. There’s a library and convenience store nearby and of course street vendors.

Definitely worth a visit. In the evening there are good carts that sell local snacks like churros, marquesitas, elotes, papas y salchichas, tostinachos, etc. Currently decorated spectacularly for Xmas. Avoid weekend evenings if you don't want to get stuck in a crowd. Weekday nights are usually mellow. Food stalls and activities open around 6pm.
Great for an outdoor workout early. Lots of places to do pushups and squats. Trees for shade are a plus.

Amazing park, safe, great snacks, friendly people and pets. People do let their dogs off the lease, fair warning.

If you stay late, like 1am or later, you'll see the bats come out. Really cool experience for a date.

Interesting walk around the park. See if you can find the monument for each country in the Americas.

One of the best public outdoor parks in town.
Whole facility is divided in four areas (cultural center, fountain, children's playground and acoustic amphitheatre).
Also, don't hesitate to try the food in several trucks between central streets.

Great area, centrally located and good variety of food and drinks available. Usually some type of entertainment available as well. I would recommend this as a must see atleast once.
