Parque de La Mejorada

One of the best places for paletas is right there. Nice park with lots of shade and some parking. There aren't many events there, but we have seen many rehearsals and dance/exercise groups there. Nice place to chill

Love the christmas flowers. We walked through te park while we were going to the museo de arte yucatan. Lovely christmas music at the park, not so many turists there, so that's always great. The policemen were walking through the park!

Went to La Noche Blanca festival. Great local park. Restaurants and tiendas surround the park. The Yucatecan Folk museum can be found here too.

Lovely park to sit and chill on a hot day. Lots of benches and shade. Very clean. A very nice place to avoid the crowds of Plaza Grande.

Not too big. Great museum near by. Had flowers for day of the dead.

Had a great time at this plant expo. Honestly when I arrived I thought oh, there isn't a lot of vendors but more came and the selections were definitely worth it. Even won a Hoya in a drawing on site! Definitely going back at the end of May for round 2, Lol!

It's a very cozy and quiet park. Some days nature exhibitions are held and you can observe people practicing dance. It has trees that provide good leftovers and benches to rest. Nearby there are shops to buy ice cream and popsicles

Another beautiful park in the city of Merida! Children run and play while parents sit on the grass and enjoy the day. Get one of the best hamburgers anywhere from the street vendor who sells them at the corner. You won't go wrong! Pay the extra 5 pesos and get the grilled onions on the burger! Wonderful!

Second best park in downtown. You can rest here and hangout.

Beautiful park "plaza" with a big concrete platform. It's a space were people all ages go to talk, dance, play. There a a few coffe places around and of course the famous original Yucatec restaurant "Los Almendros".

Close to our home this is a small park with many benches on the way to downtown Merida. A lovely old church which is very photogenic as well!

Beautiful park, my dog could run around on the grass as well with another dog.

Wonderful neighborhood....quiet but walking distance to everything plus Chem Beach market keeps you supplied with fresh produce...

Love this place.....walk unto to door next to the church, you'll find a convent turned into the architecture university. Beautiful place to visit....free!
