This was my favorite museum in Merida. It's a little expensive and it's the only place I visited that charges extra for photos, and you're only allowed to use one device, but staff is very friendly and will give you free water.
Our guide Beatriz was AMAZING! So knowledgeable, even about topics beyond the history of the mansion. Her explanations were very detailed, and she always made sure we were comfortable and had enough time for pictures. We got lucky as there were no other parties on our tour.

There is a guide to tell you the story of the owners. We liked the interior design, the Italian marble, the Mexican kitchen. Bedrooms are still not open to the public.

Fantastic! A good place to learn local culture and lifestyle of local elites. Lavish house with rich exhibition of artifacts from Europe and Asia.

My mom and I went on a Sunday morning and thoroughly enjoyed the tour. 250 pesos (plus 50 more if you want to take pictures) payable by credit card. Our tour guide Betty was very knowledgeable and shared interesting facts about the original owners, architect, engineer, and builders, as well as the subsequent owners and the furniture and artwork in the house. The tour lasted about 40 minutes and we were the only two walking through the house with Betty.

Betty, our English tour guide, was friendly, knowledgeable and open to our questions. The English tours do not run as often as the Spanish and the times are not posted. You have to ask for the time of the next tour. The building is gorgeous. It really showcases the wealth of the very rich at the time. The basement kitchen was interesting. You will be asked to leave your backpack at the entrance (this is in an unsecured area). Check the hours. When we were there it was open Thursday through Sunday.

Beautiful house. Our guide Dany was very nice, spoke English for those who don't speak Spanish. The tour takes about 20 minutes and is a very good price.

Amigable y atento. La explicación es muy buena y amena. El sitio es hermoso y cuidado. Muy recomendable.
