Dr Ricardo Peniche Rodriguez

In January 2024 Dr Ricardo Peniche Rodriguez placed an implant post in the site of a previously removed molar. I will return in 4-6 months to have the crown put on the post. I was very pleased with the work of both Dr Rodriguez and his assistant - general dentist Erika Alonso Mora. I highly recommend this team of dentists and their administrative assistant Rubi Gonzalez for anyone considering a dental implant.

We initiated a conversation with this professional team via email nearly 6 months ahead of the actual surgery date. The communication from the team prior to the surgery and post surgery was exemplary. They quickly responded to all the technical and financial questions we had. The website accurately reflects the office and dental space which is smaller than one might find in the US but absolutely spot-on for the purpose. In addition, they will answer questions regarding Merida for you.

The implant procedure took about 45 minutes. The post itself is of very high quality, the same kind used by dentists in the US. The surgical area was closed with 2 stitches. We were then taken to the pharmacy in the building to purchase an antibiotic, and an anti inflammation drug. I took Tylenol for pain and followed the doctor’s recommendation for food and drink restrictions for 3 days. I returned a week later to have the stitches removed. I had almost no discomfort and it is now 3 weeks later and everything is 100% fine.

Already planning another trip to be seen by Dr Peniche after my first implant. Knowledgable, attentive and punctual - I have only good things to say about Ricardo Peniche. His brilliant post care protocol gave me a so needed chance to make my stay in Mexico as comfortable and pain free as possible. Instead of grabbing another money making opportunity, Dr Peniche referred me to one of his colleagues to try to save my own faulty tooth instead of an implant. Luckily my cases so far are pretty straightforward but if you think yours are not, by all means, get a second and third opinion to make an informed decision. Dentist are not magicians and the success of any particular case depends on so many factors! But when it comes to doctor’s experience and expertise, Dr Peniche’s office would be my number one recommendation.

Dr. Rodriguez expertly implanted 2 teeth and placed 1 cap for me. I was referred to him by another implantologist because my 1st implant was complicated with low bone density. Upon arrival, his clear explanations, his concern for my comfort, and his calm demeanor put me at ease. My first 'complicated' implant was perfectly placed, and I was having a pasta meal within 30 minutes of walking out of the office. I chose to come back for the cap on that tooth and for another implant 18 months later, with an even more wonderful experience.

Dr. R operates with a fluency and assuredness that only comes from years of experience. He has a professional, friendly staff, and a modern, central office. I have had dental issues for years, repercussions and corrections of previously botched dental work. After finding Dr. R, I finally feel relaxed and confident that my teeth are in great hands. Wherever I am in the world, if I need dental work, I come to him. In my experience, Dr. Ricardo Peniche Rodriguez is truly the best.
