Known also as "Casa Molina" after the last private owners. It's a small two-story palace with Academic Style. Since 2007 it's been the Folk Art Museum which includes around 600 items.

Stunning exhibits of “folk art” from different regions of Mexico. The work is beautiful and obviously created with love and care. So much personality in many of the pieces. Definitely worth a visit while in Merida. The house the museum is in has an interesting history which adds to the experience of browsing the exhibits. And it is free!

This museum is beautiful, it's really worth coming to know this place. It consists of six rooms where there are different exhibitions of different pieces. There are exhibitions of costumes from the region, masks, alebrijes, sacred objects used by the Maya in their ceremonies, as well as ceramic statues. Excellent to learn more about Yucatan culture

Very well-executed museum in a restored mansion. The work on display is amazing, and each room has english-language handouts that give great context. Smallish, you can visit in an hour. Shop also small , but very high quality

Works of art from Yucatan and other parts of Mexico are exhibited here. The interior is very beautiful and well maintained. It's a little small, but it takes time to go through each exhibition hall. Entrance is free. It's well worth coming here

MARVELOUS museum - in a beautiful, old colonial building. Folk art on exhibit made by the' best of the best' in Mexico. Don't miss the pair of JAGUARS in the bathroom upstairs! There is a small park across from the museum as well as Puntomid - a lovely book/coffee shop.
