This was our first cenote and it was perfect! Like a lot of other postings said, there were just a few people there the entire time we were there! You go down a steep well-built stairway right onto the center island. The water was very nice (I'm NOT a cold water person!) and we swam around the island twice in our life jackets - very relaxing! This a good one!

We came for the opening - 8:30. For the whole 5h we spent there, only one other girl appeared. We had a place to ourselves. We took the whole package with food and cavern tour for 450 pesos I think. Cenote ticket is 190 pesos, kayak rental 120.

Cavern tour was very interesting, however only run in spanish (by lovely indigenous guides)
Food was quite good. Drinks were not included.

This is such a magical place. It is not touristy, more of a local’s spot. It seemed that a Mayan family owned the whole operation. A gracious women sold us our tickets, it was a short walk from the parking lot to the changing room/bathrooms/showers/lockers/life vests. It was $190MXN for cenote only, $290MXN for the cenote and cavern tour. We only did the cenote, as our 6 year old didn’t want to do the cavern. After you change and rinse off it’s another short walk to the cenote. You do not have to leave belongings in the lockers, you can take it to the hi cenote with you. The wooden steps are steep at first, but just the first level. There was a lifeguard for a little bit then he left, it was around lunch time when we were there so he may have left to eat. There was 3 of us, and only a handful of other people. At one point it was just us and one other couple. You can walk down into the cenote or jump off a 6 foot wooden diving board. You can rent kayaks or repel, I saw someone snorkeling but I think that was their own set. There are small catfish in the water but we didn’t see anything else. The water was chilly but not freezing. The water is crystal clear and the entire experience is beautiful and magical. Nature is so amazing and it felt like another world down there. After we left the cenote, we went up to the Restaurante, where the woman who sold us our tickets came out and verbally told us 3 Mayan dish options. Chicken, pork or sausage (similar to chorizo). We got one of each and we all loved the food, including my 6 year old. She brought our fresh handmade tortillas to go with all of our meals. Everything was amazing!! It seemed like this place is potentially connected to her home which was also a once in a lifetime experience. HIGHLY recommend!! 30 minutes from Valladolid; 2 hours from Cancun.

Cash only, as far as I could tell. Very nice change rooms, showers, and bathrooms, looks brand new. Lockers available for free too. Amazing cenote, different from the others, as it has an island in the middle. This is a good cenote for those who are creeped out by the deep, dark water of other cenotes - the water is not as deep and you can swim right around the island in the middle. There is a board you can jump off into a deep spot, not too high, and also steps to get into and out of the water. The steps leading down into the cenote are quite steep but well built. You have the option to pay for a guided tour of the separate cavern as well. I highly recommend the tour, our guide was Alejandro - he was amazing, so friendly and although he said he didn't speak much English he spoke quite well and put our attempts at Spanish to shame. We were told this cenote is owned by a local Mayan family. There were very few people there, not crowded at all, mid day on a Wednesday. Apparently Sunday is the day that the locals get in for free or very cheap, so maybe that would not be a good day to go to any cenote. The restaurant was lovely, no one else was there. Restaurant prices are a little high but worth it, although I would not recommend the coffee - it is not something that locals drink so unless you are in a very tourist heavy place you will get instant coffee. Even the drive to the Cenote was an experience - through beautiful little villages.

Highly recomendly! Its a cooperative of indigenous local people, so contributes you to a sustentability of the place, all the tour was really good and they have the model of conservancy of the forest and water. So take a good split at the cenote and enjoy this magical place! The use cash!

Very little know, if at all, beautiful circular cenote. And if you are a cave lover, the visit to the near by cavern is a must, awe-inspiring and breathtaking!

Incredibly beautiful and the fact that it’s a local Mayan cooperative makes it so worth a visit. On the little
Path towards the cenote they’ve placed medicinal herbs with signs saying what they’re good for is so beautiful.
The wooden stairs down and the island inside of the cenote, wow.. and how the cenote was formed. Me and my boyfriend had a amazing day here. Best cenote so far! Enjoy!

So incredible! They recently opened a new cave, an ancient cave full of stalagmites and Mayan artifacts. The tour is unreal, they provide helmets and take you deep into twisty mazes showing you ancient Mayan pottery, areas where human sacrifices took place, and a pool full of human bones. We couldn't believe we were able to witness it. We were Also the second set of tourists allowed into the cave - - - what an incredible honor! I would totally recommend this cave tour to those who are physically able to climb up a ladder and scramble under rocky ledges. the cenote itself was absolutely stunning with crystal blue water and deep reservoirs. There were many black fish swimming around completely comfortable being around people to the point where you could reach out and touch them. We couldn't believe how beautiful this place is and how lucky we were to experience it.

The best cenote I’ve visited in the region. Loved the educational botany tour on the walk down, definitely more eco-tourism focused. Expansive and less crowds. Kayaks available. So glad we found it!

Beautiful cenote. It is a more open cenote with a island in the middle you can swim around. Not that big so not a lot of reason to kayak IMO. They had a tiered entry fee. I am not 100% sure but I believe it was 350 pesos for cenote, cave, kayak and food, 230 pesos for cenote and cave and we just paid 150 pesos for the cenote. Definitely worth a visit.

I highly recommend this place. The cenote has clear water, partially covered. Its safe and the staff is always available if you need any help. They have a canteen where the food is cooked by locals. There is a cave nearby which is interesting too. Gives you an Mexican / Mayan experience.

Incredible place, for me one of the best cenote of the region. And absolutely not touristic. The fee goes to the Maya owner, used for keeping clean the site. Worth a visit

Amazing clear water. 100 yard walk to the cenote with descriptions of various plants along the way. Nice changing room and bathroom. Off the beaten path but well worth it.

Absolutely gorgeous! 290 pesos, but includes the cenote and a tour of a cavern with Mayan relics. Tour guides are so nice and give you background on the flora and history. They also provide a ride to the cenote if needed. Lockers are available at the cenote for your items.

Rather pricey to get in but worth it. Less ppl than most cenotes, lovely layout. You are basically on an island and roots are dropping on your head front the trees up. If you have the stamina, swim around the island, lots of cenote fish and cool walls to observe.

We loved this cenote! It’s different comparing to the others, because you have an island in the middle. The entrance was 235 pesos that includes also entrance to the caves and a guided tour (30mins). The guide showed us around, explained the trees and how the were used to treat different diseases, the ruins and the cave. It was very interesting to walk around the cave and get to know more about the history and nature of caves and cenotes. Highly recommend!
