Great experience, good coffee. The main attraction is the Lechero where they add milk to your cup from a kettle. I recommend asking for extra coffee before adding the milk.

This is a staple and a must when in Veracruz. This is a newer location with outdoor seating. The menu is extensive. I had one of the favorites, Media Noche with fries, and it was quite good!

Classic place to visit over 200 years old. Good food. Unfortunately service is very slow. Parking is a problem you have to park in front there's a plaza with plenty parking.

Delicious traditional Veracruzanan eatery. This place has many food options but of course the star is "La Lechera". Many places have this drink but this is the most popular and usually the most popular doesn't make it the best but in my humble opinion it's the best one I tried.

You did not visit Veracruz of you didn't try a lechero (Veracruz coffee with raw milk)

Place is good as always, just be ready to wait in line for a table since is always busy
Also, don't go expecting to get a table and food the instant you arrive and order, you have to wait a bit
Ordering a "Cafe Lechero" is a must, so don't miss it
Staff is always kind, not a single problem

When in the hometown visiting? A must stop. Every time. Period. The menu continues to be the same, for which I am grateful. The quality and execution remains! From the bombas con mantequilla, medianoche sándwich, or the torta parroquia, a must if you like a classic Cuban style sandwich, where the chorizo reigns! Closing with a Lechero poured and mix in and with tradition to seal the experience.

Tree times in a week, i just love this classic place, the fried bananas with black beans are terrific, the empanada de queso was just marvelous! And of course you cannot leave the place without having the classic Lechero coffee.

A classic! Be prepared for the best food experience in town. Not visiting this restaurant while in Veracruz will result in a social fail. Dont miss it! Coffee is to die for.

One of the must visit places in veracruz, Gran Cafe de la Parroquia, is a a tradition among locals here. This cafe opened its doors in 1808 and they still serve dishes from two centuries ago. I like to have the “bomba con frijoles” but the tamales, enfrijoladas and empanadas as excellent as well.

This new location has a beautiful sight of the boulevard and the sea. In the lower level they had an art exhibition of pieces that represent different aspects of Veracruz. If you have the time to visit this free exhibit you won’t regret it.

They also have a machine in one of the corners of the restaurant where they show you how they roast the coffee beans! Don’t miss it. It’s so interesting and cool to see how they do it.

Excelent place for breakfast, arrive early not to wait to long for a table, highly recommend for starters try "Gorda blanca or negra" dishes are huge portions to share with friends. Coffee from la parroquia is unique and most do buy and grab a "lechero grande"

Not the original location. However, this will not disappoint! Many customers prefer this location due to better accessibility and nearby nightlife establishments. Coffee is amazing (lechero)
