Koox Art 64 Boutique Hotel

I really liked staying here. The front desk is open 24 hours so you don't have to be worried about getting locked out. The staff were very kind and helpful; absolutely no complaints there. The room was a dream for me! A little bit more open to the elements than your average hotel room which I love. The location was superb as well, located in the Santa Ana neighborhood. There was a lot of stuff around the hotel itself, but it's also equidistant from the main plaza, Parque Santa Ana which I came to love, and the Paseo de Montejo. The location was perfect. I recommend the restaurant Dzalbay basically across the street - they have live music on weekdays, good food, and an excellent bartender. I walked home alone at night multiple times (young woman here) and did not feel insecure or threatened even once.

They provide little hotel bottles of shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and also bars of soap. I liked that the soap was wrapped in a paper-like substance rather than plastic. They have a system for if you want new towels so you can help cut down on water usage if you want. The hot water worked fine as well as the AC in my room. They also provide you with 2 bottles of water.

In my room there were two doors that opened French-style to the outside (like a small balcony but not big enough to sit out there I don't think) which I loved. There are mosquito nets on the windows so you also can just open the windows for a breeze.

Breakfast is out by the pool in the mornings and is yogurt, a little granola, fruit, toasted white bread, butter/jam, juice, and coffee.

With almost direct access to the center of Mérida, this is a good place to start from. The pool can provide some refreshment on a hot day and the rooms look nice and have airconditioning. The showers work well, and breakfast is included and good. Parking is around the corner and not available at the hotel, and $100 a night.

Have you ever wanted to stay at a place that was actually as beautiful as the online photos? Then stay here and you’ll have a lovely time. The moment we stepped through the door and into the spacious courtyard, it felt heavenly. Everything is so clean, relaxing, peaceful, and quiet. And because there are only 9 units (that’s your cue to book your room soon), it never feels crowded.

The location is absolutely outstanding, a 10 minute walk to Plaza Grande (where the big cathedral is), a 10 minute walk the other way to the start of Paseo de Montejo, close to restaurants/bars, and close to plazas like Santa Ana, Santa Lucia, and Santiago.

We stayed here for a wonderful week. Every morning we enjoyed complimentary breakfast served to us at our own table by the pool – fruit, toast, juice, coffee, tea, yogurt with granola (eggs are available too) – while we were serenaded with birdsong. The staff was very friendly and most spoke some English, but they’re happy to practice Spanish with you too. Juan, Corina, Andre are a few of the names I remember, but everyone was nice. They will help you schedule day tours with a company called Edith’s Tours if you like – we took 2 tours with this company and were pleased with the service. Security is great, and they have 24/7 front desk service for your convenience. Someone is always available if you have questions or want restaurant recommendations. Minimal kitchen supplies (like a microwave, etc.) are available but we didn’t use them – there are too many great restaurants in the area.

Our room was spacious, comfortable, and clean and located on the second floor (I think most if not all of the rooms are upstairs, no elevator). We received daily maid service with fresh towels. The cable TV was huge, the air conditioning was wonderful, the Wi-Fi worked great, and the water was hot. The king size bed was comfortable. Now there were some small cracks around the window and door, and a couple of mosquitoes came in, but it was not a major issue.

A few random observations: The swimming pool was chilly in the first week of February. This is an adults-only boutique hotel. The hotel will supply you with two 500-ml bottles of water per day (remember, don’t drink the tap water in Merida). The candy dish in the lobby was a nice touch.

You will love Merida, and you will love staying at Art 64. I wish we were there right now.

Loved this place! Older building that needs work but the friendly staff makes up for it! Pool was great!

Hotel qui ressemble à une ancienne Hacienda, ne paie pas de mine vu de l'extérieur mais une fois la porte passée le decors change complètement. Le calme règne, les oiseaux chantent, l'endroit est vraiment paisible.
L'hotel est idéalement situé à 5mns à pied de la place centrale et des avenues commerçantes. Il est très pratique pouvoir sortir le soir, le tout en sécurité.
La piscine est plutôt grande, très agréable en fin de journée.
Nous avons bien dormi, pas de bruit à signaler la nuit.

Muy bonito . Sencillo pero a la vez muy acogedor. Tuve un tema no agradable con quien maneja el estacionamiento … pero no grave. No hay café ni servicios de alimento o bebidas -solo cerveza- . Excepto en la mañana que sirven desayuno. La alberca deliciosa , el cuarto amplio. Bien.
El día de mi salida no cumplieron con el desayuno de cortesía. Se suponía que estaría listo a las 7. Y a las 8.30 el personal que estába platicando de manera animada , me explicó que por haber sido dia de fiesta la noche anterior, habían decidido que el desayuno sería mas tarde . Los huéspedes de dos habitaciones nos fuimos sin desayunar (solo hay 9 habitaciones )

Super séjour à l'hôtel Art 64 de Merida. Très bien situé, chambre grande et confortable dans un immeuble typique et très coloré. Super piscine, nous avons pu nous baigner seuls les deux jours.
Personnel très agréable et à disposition pour toutes questions. Petit déjeuner continental (simple et très bon) inclus dans le prix de la chambre.

Lo elegimos en internet, y ha superado con creces las expectativas.
1. Localización, a 10 minutos de cualquier cosa que necesites y el centro.
2. La atención, han sido súper acogedores.
3. Las instalaciones, las habitaciones son perfectas, camas de 2 metro y baño súper amplio. Y las zonas comunes, en especial piscina Wowowow.

Si os encaja el precio, sin duda, acierto seguro.

Coup de cœur pour cet hôtel au charme désuet. L’endroit est juste magique et magnifique. Certains diront que l’hôtel mériterait un rafraîchissement, mais il est dans son jus et néanmoins très confortable.
C’est une maison où on se sent bien.
Service du petit déjeuner avec une charmante dame. Tout était parfait !

Hôtel très sympa. Hacienda superbe. Personnel au petit soin. Bien situé. Emplacement calme de quoi bien se reposer au bord de la piscine.

Un joli paradis au centre de Merida. Les chambres sont très grandes, très bien équipées (nespresso dans la chambre, sèche cheveux, savons bio, etc.). La décoration est top et on dispose en bas de différentes salles de vie comme dans une grande maison. Le jardin est quant à lui extra avec une piscine nécessaire au vu de la chaleur dans la ville. Le service est très à l’écoute avec des conseils et une aide pour louer une voiture au meilleur prix. Vraiment top !

Un havre de paix en plein Mérida. Le lieu est vraiment exceptionnel avec une déco soignée. Notre chambre était spacieuse et le lit tout autant. A deux pas du centre et du marché local
