My family had a great experience. We called at noon on a Friday to reserve a riding time at 6 p.m. Don Pancho was very friendly on the phone in Spanish and comes highly recommended. We paid 200 pesos per person for an hour riding with two guides for my group. My Children (4 y 6,), husband, and I had never ridden before and the guides made us feel very safe. My dad waited for us and didn't ride. They treated me with utmost care (8 months pregnant) and were so conversational. The stroll was awesome. As for pictures, they pose the horses afterwards but I'm sure they could be accommodating to whatever request. If you have a go pro, wear it, you see many beautiful murals. Our guide posed with the horse for pictures with the kids. I suggest wearing pants for friction on the legs.

In La Floresta” community of Ajijic, there is a special site to go horseback riding as well as a spot where one can rent horses and stroll through a section of town which my partner, his family, our friends and I have done today. For 30 mins, we paid 100 pesos/$5 USD per person to experience an awesome ride given by the company, Paseos a caballo. This was my first time ever on a live horse and felt comfortable. The staff especially the owner’s daughter Nicole guided us and were very friendly. The horses were calm and knew the way. Can’t wait for the next experience which would be longer and could recommend it.
