La Nueva Posada Ajijic

We have not stayed at the Hotel but have gotten reviews from Friends. They have a BEAUTIFUL front Step area leading to the rooms upstairs that is stunning. We go to the Hotel/Restaurant Bar every afternoon for drinks on their absolutely stunning outside Patio. It is SO beautiful and quiet and their Service people are all the best. We cannot tell you how much we enjoy this place, our favorite Bar and Rest in town. Their Guacamole is to die for! It is tangy with hints of lemon, spice and Lime. A good healthy portion.

The staff was really amazing! Food was delicious! Hotel itself is weathered but beautiful and unique. Someone might be able to pick apart certain things,but overall it was a memorable experience!

To be fair this is an older property with exceptional local charm. Extremely clean and maintained.
The location is right by the lake and close to Centro. Private parking, pet friendly, and quiet.
I can not say enough great things about the staff and owner. Very welcoming and helpful.
The only negative is the restaurant hours. But there is an advantage to sleeping in.

Wonderful place for breakfast or lunch. Dine in the garden with the parrot and the grapefruit tree! Excellent view of the lake and a fantastic eggs Benny!

I have never stayed there but just experienced the restaurant downstairs which is excellent. Usually I avoid restaurants at hotels but in this case one can make an exception. The food was great and the outside dining area looks out at Lake Chapala under a large trees. Perfect spot to go for an in-town lunch.

Great place to stay. American style breakfast is included and was a great way to start the day. 3 or 4 blocks from Lake Chapala Society, too.

This is just a review of the restaurant, which served THE best fish tacos I've had in three years in many places Mexico. The service was efficient and friendly too. Prices ok as well. Beautiful garden overlooking the lake to dine in. A little gem.

This is an old style but dreamy hotel with delicious meals in the garden on the lake. Try and snap up a lake view room if possible! The owners are lovely.

We spent 8 nights in the hotel. Rita at the front desk was extremely helpful. They found a space in their storage area to lock up our bikes. Pet friendly. Jute, the owner gave Bruin our Boston terrier snacks every morning at breakfast. She also was very helpful in our search for a rental property. Breakfast included. We also had lunch served to our room a few times. Great food. Very good prices. Excellent service from all the staff but only remember Juan Carlos name. We needed ice for Bruins medicine daily, they provided that as well. We were letting them know daily that we were staying so due to other bookings we needed to move rooms a few times but the staff took care of that. We went out and belongings were in our new rooms when we returned. Cannot say enough about the customer service. Our rooms were spotless and stocked daily. Oh, and the price…AIrBnb’s were significantly more & I wouldn’t get all these services included.

Just had a fantastic lunch on back patio. Only one small drawback. Tiny mosquitoes feasting on my ankles and arms.
I dislike using repellant but will endure that for next visit.

We absolutely love this hotel! We had planned on staying for a couple of weeks to check out the area....we ended up staying for over a month. We could have changed to a different place. We found it to be comfortable and too many reasons to not leave.
The staff is fantastic and very accommodating.
The restaurant is very good, the hotel price includes breakfast and the waitstaff is great.
Being right on the lake we enjoyed the views and in the evening the breezes from the lake are like being on the ocean. The architecture is very pretty and very Spanish Colonial:) The location is fantastic for walking around Ajijic and exploring.
Yes, it's an older hotel , but I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.

Hotel was beautiful. Such an authentic experience. Room was clean. Staff was always friendly and helpful. The breakfast included with your stay was FANTASTIC. Great garden area for outdoor dining. JUAN CARLOS WAS THE BEST!!!!! He went above and beyond! Highly recommend.

Great hotel with great rooms at a great price. It's located right be the water in downtown Ajijic with most thing like restaurants and shopping in walking distance. Also has a delicious complimentary breakfast. Overall this was a fantastic stay in a great location. 👍

I have been eating here for 12 years. The food, service, and ambiance are unsurpassed. Always a relaxing meal with excellent view of the lake!!

Lunch here was very nice, outdoor view of the lake, good weather. And the food was well presented and tasty. Part of a GDL bus tour...good choice!

Beautiful, clean, bright, plants eveywhere and...a cat!!! The attention is superb, the view to
the lake, the room extra clean, the food, delicious, the views...everything super: except the lady who received us in the afternoon , (at 4 pm), because she did not explain about the different ways of paying and the prices, so, we ended un paying like 13 dlls more which could have been excellent for our gas on the way back.
Rita is the lady who told us all this.
We will go back for sure,.excellent place.

One of our favorite places to stay. Right on the lake with beautiful views from the outdoor restaurant. Now that we own our own home nearby we always recommend out of town visitors stay here to get their first taste of the food and culture of Lake Chapala.

Fabulous hotel, comfortable rooms right on the lake, breakfast was included and was super delicious. Secure parking can fit big/tall vehicles. Hot water, strong wifi.

My first time here and I was surprised how it looks on the inside. Beautiful view of the lake and they have both outdoor and indoor seating. My fish fillet dish was excellent and price was reasonable.
