Cool to learn about the history of the country's fight for independence, how long it took and the challenges they faced. So interesting that it interfaced with so many other foreign powers. The first half of the museum is all in Spanish, but the second half does have English interpretation sign boards. $75/adult registration fee

The views of the city from the guard stations was nice.

Very interesting Fort, you still can see the cannons and the ammunition from the battle when the Mexicans kill Maximilian the usurper King from France, viva Mexico carbones

Admire how this little chapel transformed into a fort and assisted the Mexicans into a decisive victory against the French. Inside you can see an exhibition of flags, uniforms and guns from that era. When you are done you are rewarded with spectacular views of the city. The best way to go up the hill towards the fort is to visit the underground tunnels, so you can stay cool along the way.

Nice, informative and iconic historic place, even though this fort did not see battle during the famous 5 de Mayo.
Due to renovation and repair work, we had to see the displays going back in time instead of a linear historic way, but that did not take away from what it has to offer... very well explained exhibits with English and Spanish depictions, many will be surprised when they learn about the relationship between this war and the American Civil War..
Take your time learning g some new facts and stroll around the Fort o. A nice day enjoy...

Church converted to a fort during the independence war. Attacked by the French army at the battle of Puebla 1862. Was the only visitor when I was there on a Friday; 60 pesos to get in.

Beutiful Museum, small but ful of awesome historical objects. It is surrounded by a Beutiful park, with a tiny tiny lake and other fortress where battle of 5 de Mayo was fought in 1862 against French army. A must if you are visiting Puebla!

Very interesting place detailing some of the history of puebla. Cool place to check out and walk the ramparts and imagine what it would be like with the cannons firing

Gorgeous place even if it wasn't really involved in any battle, still an interesting and informative place to visit, the tour guides are okay and you give them the money you consider fair. Worth it to look at personal items of Puebla's hero, like his glasses and sword. Good photo opportunities around too.

Sightseeing place of Puebla. You must visit because that place shows the history of the independence of Puebla from the French regime. In this place, there was a battle against the Poblans and French where the Poblans could get the victory and with this they could expel the French army. You can visit this place taking a tour guide in the zócalo of Puebla.
