La Troza Beach Resort

What a perfect long weekend getaway. The location, staff and resort are all beyond words. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for paradise!

There is nowhere in the world like La Troza. Nowhere else compares. It is the most beautiful and most luxurious place you will ever visit.

(Ignore the reviews from people who only went to the beach or only walked by the property - no one who actually stayed here could possibly rate it any less than 5 stars!)

La Troza is a private luxury villa compound that offers billionaire-level barefoot luxury to groups of up to 14 people. Along with the eight bedrooms - each with individual ensuite - across four houses, there are also tons of other spaces, both communal and private. There’s a meditation platform high on the hill with the trickling water of the natural mountain spring, a yoga platform overlooking the ocean (they will arrange a wonderful yoga instructor for you at your request), a stunning modern fire-pit by the fully-stocked bar for early (and late) evening drinks. There are hammocks everywhere, sun-beds, a large infinity pool with hot tub, a billiards table in a games cabana, another games room/hangout space… plus, every space is multipurpose! The staff brought tables and chairs to different locations for us every single day and night so we could have dinner in different surroundings. It’s unbelievable.

And the staff! Oh my goodness. What loveliness and professionalism and genuine care! Cesar, Carlos, Richie, Emilio - you are all absolute rock stars. They knew everyone’s name and preferences. Every glass was always full - including, for a sober member of our party, delicious non-alcoholic drinks. Every lounge chair always had a fresh towel. The kids were constantly entertained and looked after (to be clear, this isn’t ‘childcare’, but the staff were more than happy to hang out with the kids by the pool and lifeguard for them diligently during adult dinner time). The level of attentiveness of the staff at La Troza is absolutely world-class. We have stayed at other world-class resorts that are very famous, and La Troza outmatches all of them.

The food is simply spectacular. It’s primarily modern upscale Mexican food, but customizable for a variety of tastes and restrictions. To give a sense of how detailed the kitchen is: we had people in our party with a wide variety of food restrictions, including a friend who is vegan, gluten-free and has a fish and shellfish allergy, and they managed to adapt every meal to make it delicious for her. There are endless bowls of fresh guacamole and homemade tortilla chips made with local ingredients, endless quesadillas for the kids, endless fresh fruits and vegetables and fruit juices… and those are just the snacks! (Plus, a tip: if you do a fishing charter with Sergio - highly recommended! - and you catch some fish, the kitchen will prepare it for you and serve you fresh ceviche. It’s ambrosial.)

Don’t hesitate. Just book La Troza. You will never regret it. You’ll only wish you’d done it sooner.

La Troza offers an experience that very few other places can live up to. Located on a secluded coastline, it's the perfect place to get away from it all and relax.

The service level of the staff is extremely high, catering to every whim often before you have thought about it, marking the perfect balance of friendly interaction, with impeccable service.

La Troza almost lets you regress to a childlike state of enjoyment as activities are set, planned and managed for you. Drinks and snacks appear before you as you feel the need for them, the catered meals are fresh, authentic and worthy of a five star review in of themselves and the optional planned activities match the range of things to do on site.

I stayed a week and still am left wanting as I was so engrossed in my enjoyment, I left much undone! I Sincerely hope this will not be my last stay with La Troza and would give them 6 stars if I was allowed as certainly they deserve it.

Stayed at La Troza over NY 2019 with friends and family! It was our fourth trip to La Troza, which tells you a bit about how much we like it. Hands down the best service I've ever had literally anywhere, in the most beautiful location imaginable. The only downsides are the cost and the boat-access-only location... it's fun jumping from the skiff to the beach in crashing surf, but definitely makes things tougher for mobility-impaired guests.

Gourmet food is prepared from dawn to dusk by the amazing staff (the owners are the proprietors of Las Palapas in PV). The beach is gorgeous and while technically public has maybe a couple dozen people a day hike past it, so it's the next best thing to being on your own private island.

All the rooms are immaculately designed and decorated, with state of the art appliances and wifi despite the remote location.

Phenomenal. The height of luxury. Staff are extremely nice and accommodating and the resort itself is paradise.

Stunning views and incredible beach front. There's a beautiful hike between beaches.

Espectacular casa, muy hermoso y privado.
Chimo la mascota de la casa nos recibió con muchísimo cariño, un perro muy bonito y amigable.

Genial, hicimos todo el recorrido caminando desde boca de tomatlan, pasando por colomitos, la troza y al final llegamos a comer a las animas, no dejaras de ver paisajes increibles. No olviden no tirar basura! ;)

Realmente el lugar es hermoso, la playa es de las mejores en cuanto a color y limpieza en toda la zona de Vallarta, el lugar es un oasis que disfrutaran con todo lo necesario para una experiencia para contar a todos los conocidos, realmente un gran lugar para pasar un gran día

Es un bonito lugar pero los felicito por tener un acceso y apoyar el sendero ecológico que es un gran atractivo ecoturístico

Me parece que tiene la mejor arena de las playas que hay en Puerto Vallarta, está muy bonita!
